'24 SC WR Braylon Staley (Tennessee)

For sure, underrated pickup IMO. I get why he is underrated but I think everyone will ultimately be happy with this pickup

Maybe he takes the Squirrel path to getting on the field. I am admittedly on the O side of the Optimistic Pessimistic meter as a recruiting follower. Hope he stays all in unlike our previous de-commit.

I know that we need at least one more receiver in this class, but I think people may be missing a key factor about our current WR commits. Staley and Matthews may be two of the hardest working WRs in this class. They both have immense talent but also have that Juan Jennings (dawg) in them. I expect both of them to come in and put in the extra work immediately, and be ready to contribute in a big way by year 2 on campus (Nico's third year in the system). That would possibly give you Squirrel(Sr), Webb(RS Jr), Nimrod(RS Jr), Leacock(RS So), Spillman(RS So), Matthews(So), Staley(RS Fr), and whoever else we pick up in this class via high school or possible portal entrants. That's not even taking into consideration our freakishly athletic TE room by that point or any potential freshmen like Cameron Sparks. Our DEs (including LEOs) and LBs could be equally deep and impressive at that point. I'm pointing this out for those without the foresight to see what these coaches are putting together right now.

I love how they are focusing on players with athletic ability + work ethic + some Jauan!!

Absolutely. Really like them both. But like you said we really need one more in this class.

Agree completely. The only concern I have - and it’s a small one - is elite talent at OL and DT. I trust the coaching at those spots, but we need to start landing the Franklins and Mauigoas of the world. I think we will. But that will be the next step IMHO.

Good points. I'd rather have DL at this point. I think were golden on WRs

Meh - DT and Oline are the toughest to project. I don’t hate taking guys who have already had a couple years of S/C and development from the portal in addition to - couple high school guys to fill each class.
