'20 SC WR Jalin Hyatt (UT SIGNEE)

Will the Nega Vols just wait and see how the season plays out before you start bashing teenagers and our staff? A LOT can happen between now and the end of the season! We could actually have a very productive season and have very talented recruits begging for a spot with UT. IT'S JULY!!! Many things will change between now and NSD 20'.
Everything you posted is true.....on the other hand the program has been in the gutter for so long and many false hopes shattered....the BVS is real and fans have heard all the positive spin before. Pruitt and Co, in a sense, has got to give something to the fans that gives them real hope. Most negativity will decline imo when Vols beat everyone they are suppose to beat and compete against the best.

If we have a good year and a good class, I’ll be onboard.

Makes sense. Must have been pretty bad. Still not sure why USC could never get him in and we swooped right in and got him in. Cock fans hated that so much lol
Bryce was committed to USCjr right up until February signing day. He still had not qualified at that time and USCjr did not want to risk the scholarship by signing him. Pruitt swooped in and got him to visit UT after signing day and then we didn't hear anything for a few months. Then Bryce just showed up on campus at UT after he finally did qualify already enrolled before any other schools even knew he was qualified.

Speaking of Smith, from top 8 to top 5. Imagine two 10.3 guys lining up.

-247

Looks like we need Hyatt and H Bailey to start aggressively peer recruiting Rakim and Smith.
While I realize all of these guys probably won't end up playing together, just the possibility that they could makes a bit giddy.

It is extremely odd that both in state schools looked elsewhere. At minimum this kid is a freak athlete.

Was this guy at the pool party?

I heard that when they asked him to jump in the pool, he was so fast that he ran right over the pool water and never got wet. Here is the video evidence of the event:

Lemme post this on every page, I guess. Muschamp literally took this kid into his office and told him he wouldn’t be a college football player. Clemson is after the top two WRs in this class to add to a mutant freak they have committed from Canada.

Huh

Careful about that Negavol label. I'm pretty sure I've seen you called one before concerning JG.

Negavol - a UT fan who has a differ opinion than mine
You got that right. Lord forbid you to have an opinion that differs from from the norm.

Who's complaining? Any one who watches out team sees we cannot get separation. Our illustrious former OC couldnt identify that, and kept hitting square peg into a round hole. And, bc we've had no push on OL for a decade, we cant keep teams off Geronimo.

If the intermediate to long passing game wasnt there. We couldnt score, last year. Not sure what happend versus Auburn, perhaps they had a slow defense?

Anyway, this is an upgrade. Our roster wasnt good.
The Auburn game imo was a combination of Helton and JG playing like we had nothing to lose. Plays were called and chances were taken that we normally didn’t. The result was a game plan Auburn was unprepared for.

You do realize there is no coaching savior waiting in the wings, right? If we turn on Pruitt and throw him in the Tennessee River after three seasons or so, the next guy will be forced to build it back up by recruiting the exact same way Pruitt is right now. Nobody is walking into Tennessee and landing top 5 classes right out of the gate anymore. I think we all just need to relax and enjoy.

I don't know. If you look at Clemson, they have SEVEN 5 stars committed. They are choosing from the very cream of the crop now.
South Carolina I think is just Muschamp not liking the kid. Thinking he's soft.

We have T Martin and one of the best Strength and Conditioning program around. Muschamp will regret it.

But watch out for Clemson near the end of the year with this kid...
His speed has to be on their radar at the very least.

Lots of Bama fans said the same thing about Shula.

Not many Nick Saban tier coaches running around out there though tbf.
No guarantees, but that doesn't mean you don't shoot for the stars. Look at all the posts about Jimbo negative recruiting us. The only reason he can pull that off is the credibility that his past success carries with recruits and thier families. I guarantee you the people at A&M factored that credibility into what they were willing to do to get Jimbo. Now Jimbo isn't Saban-level, probably never will be. But I'd rather have the guy who can turn recruits than the guy who has to beg 17 year-old kids to wait and see what we do on the field before writing us off completely.

I don't disagree with you necessarily but I think that Pruitt had plenty of credibility coming in as both a coach and a recruiter not to mention all the recruiting/coaching accolades of this staff. I think something else is the issue here and imo, it's the complete lack of accomplishing anything meaningful in over a decade now coupled with multiple, embarrassing losses and the bad press around Butch Jones and the subsequent coaching search. I really do think that with even a moderate jump in on-field success this year, recruiting will take off.

Jmo.
