Last time we opened our season on a sunday was Eric Ainge's first game to play as a vol. TN ended up winning the East.

Maybe it will be the same for this guy?

Did Brent Shaeffer start that game against UNLV, or was that Ainge? They were both good, but I knew we couldn't keep both of them. I can remember we wore some sweet uniforms that night, hope they bring them back this time around, too!

Great opportunity for the Vols to be seen by a national audience. The only bad part about this is the fact that it is airing on the SEC Network. Unless they get some more providers to sign on by August, a lot of people will be out of luck. I have Charter and, as of now, they haven't signed on with the SEC Network.

When did the Vols start playing in the NFL? Oh right, the historical rigors of scheduling means nothing now.

Excellent!!! The USU team is loaded with Mormons who can't play on Sundays.

Boom!

Excellent move by Butch!!!

My only concern is combining the gameday crowd with the boomsday crowd. I'm not the biggest fan of boomsday due to the enormous amount of people that go, and I have to think that the number of people in Knoxville that Sunday is going to be even worse if holding both events on the same day.

They'll change the game to Sunday & boomsday to Saturday. Monday is Labor Day! Win/Win
Go Vols!!
(They did this in 2004)
