I'm Stoked about seeing Scotty in the NBA. When he's on his game, his fire and explosiveness is fun to watch.

I would greatly enjoy them to add him. I love Chris Andersen, they gave him a second chance after he was being extorted earlier in the year and nobody wanted to touch him. They are down 0-1 to the Pacers if not for his record setting game (7-7 is a post season Heat record). Imagine what Spo could do with Hopson having Wade, Lebron, Allen, and Norris around him? And honestly... I think he was a better player than Norris.

I wonder if they don't think they'll be able to sign Norris for what they want when his rookie contract is up, so he's just gonna be his replacement.

He wouldn't be their plan to replace Cole, Norris plays point, Hopson would be a nightmare at point.

Their styles are just so similar to me. Slashers who can hit the three, and probably put up a few shots that they shouldn't. As long as Lebron is on your team, you don't need a traditional anything really. Cept, maybe a center.

Hopson has nowhere near the handles cole does...Hopson can't play PG in the nba, I'm not sure how else to say it. I'm guessing they see him more as a replacement for James jones, Rashads Lewis than Norris cole.

Agreed, Hopson never had the way-impressive handles. He's clearly fit for more of a 2/3.

Most arrogant kid I have ever met, and this was even after graduating from law school (bunch of egotistical, pompous airheads).

Hopefully, he has humbled and learned what hard work is. Good luck to him. Go Vols!

Like I said, similar styles, slashers who can shoot a three and get hot. But not same position by any means. Norris Cole doesn't have half the athleticism scotty does to play the wing, but at the same time scotty can't handle the ball like Cole does to be a point.

But I say replacing Norris Cole because Cole is the person whose Rookie deal is up soon, and I don't see the heat paying him a max deal for his role (though he's most certainly earned one as a sixth man/starter on a bad team, and he will be over payed by a bad team most likely)

Lets be honest, if Hop makes the team he's 11th or 12th. Don't expect him to take anyone's minutes

To be honest, you can never predict what's going to happen. Compare and contrast Tobias's minutes in Orlando as opposed to Milwaukee in the SAME SEASON.

bingo. I never understood Milwaukee's take on Tobias. They aren't nearly as horrible as Orlando but you don't draft someone that high and not try to get them more involved. The bucks will regret that.

Nobody thought nate robinson would do anything this year. Hell nobody thought birdman would even be signed, let alone single handedly win a play off game or do like he's done in the play offs.

Most anyone in the nba is elite, lots in europe are. Its just a matter of getting that one chance... AND killing it when you do.

They didn't actually draft him, right? Charlotte Bobcats drafted him and traded him I believe.

I would love to see Scotty get a shot in the League. He definitely has the athleticism to be a decent player in the NBA.
