No, I just meant it (if UT lands Hopson) seems like something so positive that it might overwhelm you and send your emotions into a state of confusion.

All recent signs point to UT being a possible front runner and yet you make a "UT will be disappointed" post about Hopson. And you call something in my post original?

UHA takes the floor tonight against Henderson in the regional semis in a matchup of the top two teams in the region. The Blazers won 71-63 last month in a matchup at Henderson.

The game was originally scheduled to be played last night, but the girls regional was postponed over the weekend due to weather and it pushed everything back.

from the time I've spent on various other boards, this kid's mom is pushing for KY. If mama ain't happy....

of course it's my fault. the young man's mother must have read my negative posts.

Thanks for the Tatum comments. Rex, is it just your hatred of UK basketball and their sense of entitlement that has you thinking Hopson will go there? If so, I agree and understand. I will be truly annoyed if Pearl totally outworks UK on Hopson's recruitment, and he still chooses blue. Hopson did say he wanted to play up-tempo though, and that's UT, not UK.

that's a large part of it, but there are way too many rumblings that his mother wants him to go to UK. With their rabid fanbase and the pressure they can bring to bear, I just dont think it goes our way.

Rex has a very valid point, whether some of you want to acknowledge it. If his momma wants him to go to UK, then chances are better than not he ends up at UK. I remember seeing a quote she made to the effect of they were waiting on UK to call, and the ball was in their court. I hope he's wrong, and we land Hopson, but after the J.J. Hickson, Chris Singleton, and Elliot Williams of the world, excuse me for being skeptical.

He may wind up at Kentucky, but I think saying his mother is pushing for it is a misrepresentation of the facts. From what I know, his mother was very upset that UK had not persued Scotty as intently as MSU, UT, Cincy, and several others. This began under Tubby at an AAU camp, fostered through Billy G's "I won't recruit committed player's" period, and was magnified when Gillispie cancelled a recruiting trip to Hopkinsville to watch Jr. Jon Hood in Madisonville practice.

I know that she was irritated by the comparitive lack of interest by the in-state powerhouse, but I have not heard a single thing from a reputable source that would suggest she is "pushing" UK.

Having seen him attempt futilely to play the position before he left SC, I can say with total confidence Galloway is every bit as much a point guard as JP Prince is.

I haven't read the last 38 pages through all the way so I'll ask this. Hat, what's your opinion on Hopson? I think he'll be a great pickup to replace Chris and JaJuan. But how does he fit in with Tatum, Prince, Tabb, Ramar, etc.?

Heck he could be like Trenton Hassle (and Bubba Wells for a time) and go to the NBA after playing at Austin Peay.:eek:lol: Speaking of them, congrats to the Govs for making the NCAA tourney by winning the OVC. Now, if MTSU could win the Sun Belt, that would mean 6 Tennessee teams in the tourney!!!:dance2:

Like I said, I am going to be a very disappointed and angry person if Hopson goes to UK. And, I stand by my opinion that his mother's comments to the media can be interpreted to mean whatever you want them to mean.

I just don't think his mother will steer him to UK. She did an interview with the Cincinnati Rivals site on their premium forums with a top 5 and UK was not included. I think that will change but I don't see her throwing UK at her son.

Also her comments about UK was from a Kentucky site and the questions were directly about UK. Just like UKVols said, the answers can be interpreted in the way you want. We are in good shape with Hopson and will be in it until he commits somewhere. His team going further and further in the high school regions and state will give UK less and less time to sell their pitch.
