Yes, University Heights All-American Scotty Hopson wasn't picked as the Second Region's top senior. Nothing against Henderson County's Josh Terry - he's a nice player - but there's no way he's the POY over Hopson. -Courier Journal

Not surprising. I don't know who voted, but there are many public school coaches and sportswriters alike that would never vote for a player from private UHA in anything. Many area schools will not play UHA in the regular season, although that is getting somewhat better.

Lastest news from various people is that ppl close to the staff say our staff is confident that they are very very close to getting Scotty. I still think its gonna be an absolute battle for him between a couple schools.. but as for right now we still appear to be in the lead.. Hope we close out well..

UHA's season came to an end about 15 minutes ago in the state tournament. After trailing Lexington Catholoic by 20 at the half, UHA cut it to 6 in the 4th before fouls and a late run by Catholic stretched the final margin back to 15.

Hopson had 21 and Edmonson had 13.

Scotty's team just lost in the state tournament to Lexington Catholic.. He had 21 pts and 9 rebounds.. Let the serious recruitment begin.
