They are usually known for good looking women which always helps. When you also beat Saban 2 years in a row you get credibility. That's how.

I have never been to Oxford but can this really be true? It sounds like a myth created by some guy who got lucky in a target rich bar one night. I mean, it is such a small town (population per the 2014 US census less than 22,000 and with very little ethnic diversity). Put it this way if every woman in that whole town is hot...that's still not a lot of women.
Knoxville has a population of 184,000 by comparison. I guess I find it hard to believe that there are more attractive women in Oxford than Knoxville - or at Ole Miss than UT.
Edit: even if you combine the populations of Oxford and Starkville, you would still have the smallest of all the SEC towns - about 44,000 people. That's crazy.
BROTHAS!?? Lol. WTF is wrong with you. The more you type, the more you sound like a 47 year old, video game-obsessed, white nerd living in mom's basement.Brothas ain't attracted to the same type of women as white dudes. So unless there are a bunch of Kim Kardashian look alikes at Oxford, I doubt the typical blond hair Beckys at Ole Miss are any better than any other southern college town.
The women angle at Oxford is overhyped. If a brotha is picking a school because of the women, he's going to schools located in Atlanta, Houston, or Miami. I promise you he ain't going to Oxford, Mississippi.
It's no myth... Book it

Exactly what I was thinkin though......dollar signs. What else could explain it? Are they just THAT GOOD at recruiting? I lean towards no.....
In terms of the numbers, it kinda has to be... Like I said, even if EVERY single woman in Oxford and EVERY single coed at Ole Miss is attractive (which is highly unlikely in a state with the highest rate of obesity in the country per CBS.com at 35.4%), you're still not talking about very many women here - probably around 20,000 or so. I think it's a case of a small group of young women who make themselves highly visible standing out in a very small place. The big fish in a small pond principle, if you will.
They come from all over MS--not just Oxford. Same thing happens at UT Austin (women from all over TX), etc. You cannot just look at the population of Oxford.
Smart can reel in a top class by selling Bama's success and the hope that he can replicate it at UGA. That's a big selling point to in-state recruits. He can oversign like Butch did, then process the roster. It will be a coup if we can pull Warrior and Brown.
