If he chose to wrestle he'd be an All-American, potential NCAA champion, and he's got the ability to make the Olympic team. That's the kind of athlete he is.He is the 7th ranked heavyweight in the country currently. 4x state champ and has won national tournaments in freestyle, greco-roman, and folkstyle wrestling. We recruit wrestlers often, but this kid is on a different level.
The season starts in November. Missing the first two months doesn’t seem conducive, especially with the specific training and weight goals involved. I think that’s why it was such a big deal when he announced he’s pursuing football at the next level. Carlton Haselrig is the standard for standout wrestlers who also succeeded in the NFL…but he never played football in college. If he chose to wrestle he'd be an All-American, potential NCAA champion, and he's got the ability to make the Olympic team. A lot of Big 10 schools are going to advertise being a dual sport athlete and stay close to home.
He sounds like an intriguing prospect, but why haven’t Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa State and Iowa offered? He’s close to them and you would think they would be interested.
Kansas has a football team??? Thought Bill Self and Basketball ran that school...
His 247 profile shows an offer from Wisconsin and Minnesota. It is "interesting" that Iowa and Iowa State haven't offered. His wrestling school offer list is pretty good though with Nebraska and K-State in there. He sounds like an intriguing prospect, but why haven’t Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa State and Iowa offered? They hired Dan White’s former hire at Buffalo, Lance Leipold and he knows all of these plays and it’s so cool and they beat the Longhorns every year and they were undefeated and playing Duke and Gameday was mean and picked Florida at UT instead and…Kansas has a football team??? I don't think the distance is much of a concern. His brother is at Arizona State. If we are interested I hope he is mobile. My parents moved from Knoxville to SD for a decade and it is a tough drive. On one return trip I was driving through St. Louis 15 minutes after the famous World Series bad call at first and had to share the roadways with tons of mad and alcohol altered locals. High in my list of near death experiences.

I flew in to Fargo (the other Dakota but surely they’re about the same) once - only commercial airport I’ve ever been to without a normal enclosed terminal with multiple gates. Can imagine outside of the cities it could be pretty desolate. If we are interested I hope he is mobile. My parents moved from Knoxville to SD for a decade and it is a tough drive.
