SDS picking South Carolina to beat Vols

I hated that game last year. Moons lined up for SC. We will never know exactly what the heck Banks did, but the smoke pointing to the fire says the team chemistry got hosed. Did Hempel bench him last minute? Who The heck knows, and I’m not claiming to know anything, but you gotta admit the way that played out was bizarre. The roll Tennessee was on and to tank like that. Something doesn’t pass the sniff test. And then Henson’s knee blowing being the cherry on top for SC.

The more I learn about Heupel though, I really think that loss galled him more than me and you too. He’s got this game zeroed in. He ain’t Dooley, Jones or Pruitt.

Week 5: at Tennessee (W)
You thought last year was a fluke? Nope. With so many of those pieces back from last year’s stunner in Columbia, South Carolina does the unthinkable again. This time, Rattler doesn’t play perfect. He throws 2 interceptions, but he also delivers touchdown passes to Wells and tight end transfer Trey Knox. A revenge game for Tennessee follows a frustrating script. Joe Milton’s fast start fades and Tennessee is forced to turn into a 1-dimensional offense. The Gamecocks pounce on a pair of fumbles, the second of which sets up a game-winning field goal in the final minute. The Vols lose at home for the first time since November 2021.
Many of those pieces? Like their best offensive lineman who went down for the season? Or is he referring to their five NFL draftees are they still playing for SC? Perhaps those "pieces" are their two best offensive players, who transferred to FSU (Bell and Lloyd) I'm sure they'll make a big impact against Tennessee. Maybe just maybe it's their only 5 ⭐ who transferred to Oregon (Burch). He'll hurt Tennessee too!

Gtfoh with many of the same pieces. Trash ass analysis

Edit: confirmed. I looked it up and SC is tied for the fewest returning starters in the SEC.

I just heard one of their writers, Conner O'Gara on the radio and they asked him who would be second best team in the east and he said SC. Predicted them to be 8-4 and a distant second to Ga. So I assume he either thinks they beat us in Neyland or we go 7-5 or worse. We'll see is all I can say.

O'gara is a Indianna Hoosier with little love for UT over the years.

At the Orange bowl in 2020 we were staying at Amelia Island and at dinner one night before the game one of the guys at the bar pointed him out as O'gara the SDS writer.

On the way out I said hello, and that I'd read his work and that I was a contributor on the comments sections occasionally. He just smiled, then I pointed to myself with both thumbs and said/asked "Hoosier Daddy"?

The smile was a smirk as I sat my beer on his table and walked away.

What a great Orange Bowl that year. Last Pruitt win

God Bless Josh Heupel

This game will be great for UT. Let the chickens cluck all they want. After Milton connects with Squirrel, 5 times for scores, they will be mute. Nico will be getting game reps bye the end of the 3rd quarter.

I really want them to be talking about us after that game. I want them to be saying how "Classless" we were for running up the score.
You know your value by the number and quality of the enemies you attract 😉

Don’t pull our starters until they do. Until they “strike their colors” the fusillades continue

Returning starters used to be a big deal. Post NIL and the moving around of chess pieces in the NCAA, not so much anymore. I trust CJH and believe he understands the X's and O's as well as the "Jimmys and Joe's". Looking forward to the season. Like our depth. Concerned about injuries in key places like Center, OL, QB, and secondary. Please stay healthy and pray for miracles in the medical treatment room.

The author just came out with his “article” predicting our season. He has us going 8-4 with losses to Florida, South Carolina, Bama, and Georgia 🙄
