Yeah - - - what did they do to the team that's been at the top of the conference yesterday 117 to 95 or so,,, and somewhat let up down the stretch. As usual Ky is coming together.Kentucky has had struggles this season, however they have escaped the storm since they have shown fruit of a great team.
I’m in complete agreement with this. A Final Four appearance would be my first hope . . . a regular season championship would be next. If we don’t win at least a share of the regular season title, that home loss to South Carolina will be the reason why.I want a regular season championship above everything other than a Final Four. 3-1 with a win against Bama would ensure it but I sure would love an outright title. Sharing a title when teams have the same record but one swept the other in two games should not even be a thing.
Yeah, Auburn here, Alabama there, South Carolina There, Kentucky here, couldn't get much harder than that. If they play against those four the way they took down A&M, that would be a monumental achievement. And lets not forget the SEC tournament. Could be another couple of games there that will not be any easier. Every game from here on out will be hard, Vols better be focused from here on out. This last four game stretch is brutal.
What’s encouraging is Awaka has cut down on the dumb fouls with his increased minutes. He only had 3 fouls last night but was also fouled 3 times so it was a wash in that regard. Sort of a chicken or the egg type scenario though. Is he settling down with increased minutes to eliminate dumb fouls or are his minutes increasing because he’s fouling less.DK is going to get his. Our chances of winning run through ZZ. The tourney has always been up to the back court. When he can get Aidoo, Awaka involved and we can force you to guard the frontcourt, it opens it up from the inside out. Really like that Coach has Awaka getting more involved. This team has some weapons. If SV can get it right now, we can do what UCONN did last year and beat everyone in the tourney by double digits. This team can be that good
Those statistics are misleading. Same as flipping a coin. The last flip has no statistical significance on what the next flip will be with the coin. In sports momentum is real and I’d much rather win the last.I hate to lose, but I think a loss in the season or in the SEC tourney might help. The chances of us going on a 8,10,12 game run are not great. I'd rather lose now, or in the SEC tourney, than the big dance. Only need to win 5 once you get in
If we go 3-1 and that 1 is not to Bama, we’ve got a regular season SEC title and a 1 seed.I want a regular season championship above everything other than a Final Four. 3-1 with a win against Bama would ensure it but I sure would love an outright title. I agree but playing a game is not the same as flipping a coin. What is our biggest win streak this year? 10 or so but that's playing George Mason, Norfolk State, etc. Since starting SEC play(which is a more favorable comparison to future competition) I think 4 is our longest win streak with our next win being 5. I'd love to win them all but going on a 8 or 10 game run is not what this team has shown. They are inconsistent at times. I'm hoping they are gelling at the perfect time for a 5 game run in the tourney. To me, I don't care about anything else. I would rather lose any time before, reset, regroup and have to shorten our win windowThose statistics are misleading. Same as flipping a coin. The last flip has no statistical significance on what the next flip will be with the coin. In sports momentum is real and I’d much rather win the last.
I was going to disagree, but I was wrong. We were picked #9 and we sit at #5. Number 1 in SEC and that we are. So, essentially we are ahead of what was expected by AP pollsters. Technically, we could drop to 9 and still be a 2 seed and this season still be a success if we win the SEC title and at the very very least go to a sweet 16. Albeit, I would have to give the grade a B vs an A which is going to the Elite 8. Final Four or beyond is an A+ season. The slate is wiped clean! All the good and all the bad is wiped away. Conference championships, a one seed, and a deep March run are all in front of this team. It starts now ladies and gentleman and success will be measured how we do from this moment on. Let’s go and take all the glory and what comes with it boys!!!

The tension of having a schedule at the end of the season like this will be a great asset for us to take to March. We’re essentially going from a regular season tournament to an actual SEC tournament right into the NCAA tournament. The slate is wiped clean! All the good and all the bad is wiped away.
