SEC Championship: #5 Georgia Bulldogs vs #2 Texas Longhorns (SEC on abc) 4 PM

And yet none of those teams were able to keep these two teams from making it to the championship game from actual, on the field play….
I don’t really mean that as a slight though. Georgia didn’t look good tonight; you can’t say they did. But at the same time they did enough to win. Simply saying there’s so much parity and Georgia and Texas had bad nights.

That’s fair. NIL and transfer portal have taken away the ability to go 3 and 4 deep at every position. These kids are beat up at the end of a long season in the SEC. Without that quality depth, those hits add up.

That makes zero sense lol
If Clemson blows out SMU, it's still going to result against you, I think. You want Alabama out, right? If SMU makes a game of it
That makes zero sense lol
I guess so, according to YOU. Unfortunately, for you, it's not about you. I have a totally different perspective of it. I am absolutely certain that is OK

Just imagine if Ga Tech didn’t get screwed by the refs this would’ve been a play in game for UGA.

Helps even the field and make coaching even more important than it was in the past.

Sort of wonder in so many years, if Texas doesn't win the SEC Championship, they will be ready to leave and poach a few fringe SEC teams with them so they can form a new conference?

I could see Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri leaving with them.

I liked them for about 240 minutes today.

Didn‘t want Texas walking into our conference and winning the title in year one.

Like I said in another thread, think of it as a business decision.
I like too see them walk right back out of the conference.

Nope. Its all about accessing a share of the SEC media rights deal. The Big 12 wasn't competitive in pay and that's why Texas left. They forfeited an easier path to the CFP when they decided to leave. Winning is important, but having a competitive team they is properly funded in the NIL era is what keeps the profits flowing.

Congrats to Texas for getting a fortunate draw when it came to scheduling and making the SEC championship. But, the SEC wasn t just going to let you walk in a win the championship lol..

Just don't know with those nuts. We are dealing with a team from a state that recently voted to have the right to secede from the Union and become their own little independent country in the near future.

They are a proud and entitled lot and in the long run they are not going to like playing 2nd or 3rd fiddle to the bigger and better SEC teams.

I could see TX winning the SEC a couple of times then jumping to the B1G.

Imagine the ego boost of having won in the B12, SEC, and B1G. I could see TX wanting that.
