SEC Championship Game.

For all the fans that are realistically looking at the state of Tennessee football. I was looking at the schedule for next year. There are some tough games. But I honestly look at next year and I can't see the schedule as tough. Forget the Oklahoma game. Looking at the SEC I can see a 6-2 or 7-1 conference record. Of course some breaks have to go our way. But with all the new QB's I don't see any terror games to be scared of. What is your honest opinion on the upcoming slate. Do we have a legitimate shot next year to be in Atlanta?

My honest opinion is that you need to check yourself into rehab. This is a 5-7 or 6-6 team next year. 2015 will be the benchmark.

OK first of all. No rehab needed. You negavols are what's wrong with all fan bases. I said I could see more wins if a few breaks go our way. By no means did I say this team would make it to Atlanta. But this team was a few playss away from being 8-4 this season. None of us have any idea what this team is actually capable of next season. But I'm not gonna sit here all off season and think the worst. I'm an optomist. Not a gloom and doom kind of guy.

Honestly I think it will be 2015 by the time we break even or higher in SEC play. Next year we have a decent shot to break even, but even then I think it's a stretch once you consider all our inexperience.

However if recruits develop as we hope and our attrition rates for the new recruits are kept very low, then I'd think we'd have enough experience and talent to make a run for the SECCG. A lot of question marks get answered next year, specifically at the skill positions. Let the dice roll!

The OOC schedule is tougher next year...we play three bowl teams...USt, Ark St and OU. In SEC we have home dates with Bama, Fla, Mizzou and Ky. On the road at UGA, USC, Ole Miss and Vandy...We may win three SEC games and 2 OOC so 4 or 5 wins again is more accurate.
