I’m done. The facts are out there these past seasons. I’m really not because you can’t prove something that didn’t happen. Like I said, it is what it is. Fine, 5 seasons, including this year. No one can dispute he is the same coach as he previously was. Good night.
When the he// did I try to "prove something that didn't happen'? I haven't counted the 2020 season for anything and I've only said that about 10 times this thread.
Facts are he averaged 24 wins the last 3 ( more than that if you count 20') seasons not affected by a deadly virus that killed millions and millions world wide. Not bad regular season average in that time.
Where he really underperformed was in the post season NCAAT. I have ageed with this since the second this debate started. From word go.
The debate was that whilst Pearl had been consistently equaling and even exceeding (this decade) what he had done this past decade, Cal had not. This is completely false as I have laid out many times in this thread.
Where this relates to you is even if you use both the 20 and 21 season in your argument , Pearl DID NOT fair any better than Cal in either of those seasons. Certainly didn't " rival or exceed" what he did the past decade. Same for the last 3 years for Bruce Pearl.
I really wish people on this site would do a little more reading in the threads and little less just wanting to argue for the sake of f'ing arguing.
Lastly,
" no one can dispute he is the same coach he previously was".
No coach is the same coach they previously were unless they duplicate what they previously did.
Is Bruce Pearl the same coach as he was 15 years ago when he went to the Elite 8? 6 years ago when he went to the Final 4?
Last year when he got dealt with by mighty Yale and went out in the first game of the NCAAT?
What you said means absolutely nothing until their coaching careers are wrapped up.
Which is why I said go look at Rick Patino this year and him reviving ANOTHER program.
Good night to you bro, you probably should have stayed out this argument/debate/sh!t show
