Tennessee has won 2 of the past 3 games against Florida. Meyer's offense sucked in this year's offense and it will again next season. The new coach is flashier than Zook, but the results aren't better.
South Carolina won 7 games this season. That is 1 more than last year. However, the only decent team they beat was Florida. Every season, the Cocks think they are one season away and they still finish in the middle of the SEC East. Spurrier's offense did not do as well this year as people think. South Carolina finished rated 104 in the nation in total offense this season. 4 of 5 conference wins came against teams with losing records.
Georgia has done the best job of reloading each season. However, Richt had an experience quarterback in each of the season's that he won the east. Next year will be a new experience for him as he breaks in a raw quarterback.
Tennessee has a ton of question marks. However, it is abundantly clear that the Vols may have the most talent in the SEC East. How the new coaching staff members interact with the team... and the offseason/spring preparations will go along way in deciding the Vols fate next season.
Vanderbilt returns to the bottom of the east next season along with UK. 5-6 is Vandy's one shining moment. Kentucky still sucks, of course, until they get a new coach.
Next season has way too many questions marks for anybody to accurately predict what will happen. Who could know that Tennessee would win the SEC East in 2004 with 2 freshmen quarterbacks and Rick Clausen? Who could predict that after a 10-3 season, the Vols would fall to 5-6 with most of its talent returning from the previous season? Who knew that Meyer's offense would suck in the SEC? OK, I think alot of people saw that one coming. Anyways, it should be an exciting season next year. I think 4 teams have a legitimate chance of winning the EAST next season with 3 losses. However, anyone of 3 teams (UT, UF, UGA) could rise above the other and have a much better season. USC only wins if it can do it with a 5-3 conference record.
