So its us against: Miss St. and Ole Miss, possibly Bama (but they may already be in).

What's with all these posters that clearly have little-to-no clue about college basketball? They all just came out and started threads last night.

OP,

no offense, and i may catch crap for this, but you are starting a lot of threads that really are just pointless and uneducated.

this one for example...
there is no majic number that the committee must stick to and that says the SEC ONLY gets this amount. there are many variables that will come into play in the next week or so that will decide how many the sec will get.

they could get as few as 3, or as many as 7 possibly. so when you start a thread saying this, the caual basketball fan that doesnt know better thinks this is some rule that exists, when in all actuality it is your opinion and thats it.

if you have a question about something or want more info on something feel free to ask, but there has been a lot of threads being started lately (and not just by you) that quite frankly are just bad and uneducated threads, that bring nothing to this forum.

I just refush to get personal online with someone I don't know. I say the SEC is only getting 5 in the tourny.

what do you mean you refuse to get personal?

im just saying, you said something as a statement as if it is fact, and its not at all.

it is your opinion, which is fine. it could be 3 it could be 7 though.

I bet Martin has a pretty big bandwagon for them all to fit on :) Seriously though, I definately wouldn't want to be a mod right now. Every minute 2 or 3 identical threads are popping up.

It will be 5 from the SEC, even if South Carolina wins the SEC tourny. There has always been unspoken rules on how many teams leagues will get in based on the strength of the league. This year the SEC probably gets 5 in. That means we are playing for the last spot against Miss St, Ole Miss. There is no way we get 7 in, no scenario possible.

so the sec has never gotten more than 5 or less???

florida, uk and vandy are the only locks.

if bama, tenn and miss st all lost their first games they may be out, therefore only 3 would get in and not 5 as you state is the rule.

YOU ARE DEAD WRONG ON THIS UNSPOKEN RULE

lets say arkansas wins the sec championship...they are in
uk is in
vandy is in
florida is in
bama wins 2 games is in
tennessee wins 2 games is in
miss st wins 1 game is in

that 7 teams hoss

I think we are more deserving than any other team in the SEC besides Kentucky.

The rest of the teams have been playing bad basketball for a month while UT and UK continue to shine.

Lol we are talking about this year, not every other year. This year the SEC only gets 5 in. Sorry I have not been clear on every point. And if Arkansas wins the tourny it will bump us and Miss St. or Bama.

that 7 teams in count it up. even if miss st wasnt, us or bama wouldnt be left out.

oh wait there's an unwritten rule thats right.

whats the rule for the pac12???
