no youre wrong again. there is no unwritten rule...

as i said if arkansas wins the championship
tennessee wins 2
miss st wins 1
bama wins 2
vandy is in
florida is in
uk is in

that 7 teams in count it up. even if miss st wasnt, us or bama wouldnt be left out.

oh wait there's an unwritten rule thats right.

whats the rule for the pac12???

Lol, ok, you say 7, I say 5, we'll have to agree to disagree. Would be cool if we got 7 in.

Only?

5 is good considering how bad the west (and some east) is.

1. UK
2. Vandy
3. UF
4. MSU
Bubbles: UT, Bama.

who would be out? miss st, and tenn? why would you leave tennessee out with a rpi in the 50's and one of the hottest teams around.

everyone says 2 wins and they're in, except you?

whats the unwritten rule for the pac12, you never answered.

5 teams would be good for the SEC. Seems like we usually see 4. I think for us to be in we have to win 2 in NO imo. And while it's a nice thought, no way 7 get in. The SEC isn't known as a Basketball Conference like the Big East, ACC and Big 10 are. Those will get the big numbers.

Ouch. That's some venom spitting right there folks. I'm a happy goat. You make me proud. (no offense Wes).

OP,

no offense, and i may catch crap for this, but you are starting a lot of threads that really are just pointless and uneducated.

this one for example...
there is no majic number that the committee must stick to and that says the SEC ONLY gets this amount. there are many variables that will come into play in the next week or so that will decide how many the sec will get.

they could get as few as 3, or as many as 7 possibly. so when you start a thread saying this, the caual basketball fan that doesnt know better thinks this is some rule that exists, when in all actuality it is your opinion and thats it.

if you have a question about something or want more info on something feel free to ask, but there has been a lot of threads being started lately (and not just by you) that quite frankly are just bad and uneducated threads, that bring nothing to this forum.

So its us against: Miss St. and Ole Miss, possibly Bama (but they may already be in).

Current RPI

Tennessee 76
Miss State 65
Mississippi 55
Alabama 32
Vandy 26
Florida 25
Kentucky 2

UT is playing as well anyone in the SEC except Kentucky right now.

another good example of how RPI is misleading.

ole miss is not that good, and quite simply if we had their RPI we'd be a lock right now.

unfortunate.

How Andy Kennedy and Rick Stansbury still have jobs in this league confuses me.

Stansbury has been the model of consistency at a school where basketball likely takes a backseat to football and baseball. He doesn't surprise me. Kennedy is another story. He had done exactly nothing.

Stansbury has had some RIDICULOUSLY talented teams.

this year as a perfect example. they should have been top 20 all year, not go on a 5 game losing streak.

that do that EVERY YEAR.

In 14 seasons, he has 10 20+ win seasons, 4 division championships, 2 SEC tourney championships, and 1 regular season SEC championship.

His teams have underachieved in the postseason, but at a school where basketball plays third fiddle, he certainly hasn't done anything to warrant being fired IMO.

i guess thats what im going off of is post season...

after so long of being top 3 or 4 in sec, you have to expect to do something in the postseason.

jmo though

have they tanked worse than vandy in post season play?

pretty damn close id say

their thing is, they have a great year and then blow up the last 2 weeks and ruin the seed they had, much like this year.

prior to their 5 game losing streak they were around a 6 seed in the ncaa tourney, now they are a 11.
