SEC Predictions 2010-11 Season

not just Casey Prather. you've already heard the arguments for so no need to rehash them all.

but yes Prather alone would have helped slowed down Fredette and Michael Lloyd Jr for that matter as he's one of the best defensive players in this class. that game was decided when Kenny Boynton fouled out a minute into double-overtime. put Casey Prather on last year's team and that game is won during regulation.

Depending on the context you're using here, this is either the funniest thing I've heard in a while or I should just play along. You're telling me that Casey Prather would have shut Jimmer Fredette down and that he would have easily made the gators a top ten team??

what significant NCAA player has Tobias Harris abused to make you think he will be able to even score a single point in the college?

Are you kidding me? He' abused Jayvaughn Pinkston numerous times in the City. Was named co-mvp alongside Doron Lamb at the Elite 24 last summer. Was well on his way to mvp of the Mcdonalds All American game before he broke his foot in which Harrison Barnes, CJ Leslie, and Tristan Thompson were guarding him.

But I'm sure he is wetting himself with the thought of trying to score against Casey Prather.

you mentioned no NCAA players and Prather won't be guarding him anyway as he'll be guarding SGs and SFs.

you mentioned no NCAA players and it'll be Patric Young on Harris, not Prather. what significant NCAA player has Harris abused to make you think he'll score a single point in college?

So you're changing the subject once again? Not surprising. I asked you what significant PLAYER has Prather slowed down that would make you believe he will slow down any NCAA player. Hell you can go back to training league. Just name one impressive player that Prather went head to head with and came out the out right winner.

sorry misread that. thought you were asking what significant college player has Prather, a high schooler, slowed down.

In case you're having trouble with your search. I found a tournament where Prather won MVP.

Just look at all those top players out there...

i don't have a list of everyone he's gone up head to head with but everyone that's seen him play has raved about his man-to-man defensive abilities and athleticism. that's why he's rated so highly at despite his stroke being behind those two areas of his game.

back to where this conversation started, it doesn't take much imagination the see adding one of the best defenders in this class to a thin guard and wing rotation last season would certainly have reverse just one BYU scoring possession over the course of regulation and the first overtime. heck if does little more than just give our backcourt a breather and pick up a foul or two Boynton committed the Gators probably still win in double-overtime.

I'm not asking for a list. Just one player.

I see two points you're trying to make in this paragraph. What are you basing any of them on?

Yeah my preseason call of ut to the elite 8 was idiotic. Wish I had predicted it as well as you did.

Yep, calling Florida a Final Four contender, South Carolina a tournament team, and the Big 10 to have less teams in the tournament than the SEC sure worked out for you too.

How'd Arizona do? I couldn't find them anywhere during the 'AAs. DePaul, NC State, and Charlotte were also all strangely absent. The Committee must have made some serious blunders.

Give the guy his due.

One correct guess out of 7,000 is pretty impressive.

Is the worst talent evaluator in the history of this board showing up to hate? You were right about arizona and I was wrong. You tried to make up other things here, I never said that depaul would make the ncaas, I said they would be improved and they were playing well before their only potential nba player went down.

Hat how is your "friend" lon kruger? Will you ever explain how unlv is the 5th best job in the conference?

Wait...did you just pick Kentucky for the Final Four? With a worse freshman class and no Patterson? Interesting...

Also, Mark Fox is much better than a C+ coach. And you should have learned your lesson on Florida by now...

Like most folks that post on here, I don't try to make worthless pre-season predictions hoping that I might actually get something right so I can boast about it later. You are the only one who enjoys doing that.

In his defense, there are a lot of people who will never learn their lesson about Florida. Of course, most of them know what they are talking about the rest of the time.

Well, if you make enough predictions, you're bound to get something right. Then you forget about the thousands you made that were wrong and tout the one you got right--MHF's MO.

Ky will drop off a ton talent wise. How did that prediction work out for you?

T jones was by himself the difference between washington being preseason top 10 as the immediate quincy replacement or low in the top 25. Still say the SEC will be a mediocre conference?

Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky now have the talent to all be top 10 next year

Are you saying Florida will have back-to-back Final Four runs?

How much would you want to wager on FLA, TN, and KY all being top 10? No way that will happen and you look foolish for making such a statement.
