SEC Ref corruption?

This is how far Bielema ran on the field to try and get a TO before that Alabama TD

Which is incredibly dumb and should have received a flag, as he should have just run (or waddled) up to the line or side judge and said it into his ear. The refs on the field are looking at the formation, and not at the walrus bouncing around 20 yards away.

Here is the game. The personal foul in question happens on the play that begins @ 1:22:00 of the video. After the play is over, you get a better look what happened.

You guys be the judge.

#7 Alabama vs Arkansas 2014

I have to say that was pretty clearly a one sided foul. And I don't see how the Arkansas player could have said something a bad as 2 shots to the face.

Other coaches were trying to get to the sideline judges as well.. no dice there either. Thanks for you input though :good!:

Only the head coach can call a timeout, so it's great that they were wasting their time whiel their boss was walking away from the guys he should have been talking to.

Is this your first time ever seeing a coach running out onto a field trying to call a timeout.. or.. ?

Since they changed the rule and allowed HCs to alert the side or line judge rather than having to get the attention of the Ref, Ump, or Back Judge, yeah. I cannot recall seeing a head coach run past the sideline officials and well onto the field trying to call a timeout.

It happens all the time.. pay attention.

No, it really doesn't.

But let's say you're right. It doesn't excuse Bert being an idiot just because other coaches are also idiots.

It still happens fairly often I've noticed CBJ do it a couple times, but who cares it's irrelevant as was said earlier about another game, the game was over.

Jones has walked 15+ yards onto the field without so much as glancing at the line or side judges?

Some SEC coaches apparently need to familiarize themselves with the positioning of the officials.

Maybe thats Saban's problem this season.. he's spending too much time keeping up with the refs instead of keeping up with his team

Obviously if a coach is out on the field trying to call timeout.. he hassnt run past any sideline officials to do so.

At that point he is trying to get anyone's attention at all so that he can call time out.

Furthermore, when it comes over the headset that a team needs to call timeout, even though the HC is the only one that can call time out, pretty much anyone in charge on the side line is trying to direct the nearest official's attention to the fact that the HC is trying to call timeout..

Am I really explaining this..??

You still aren't explaining why your coach was running away from, as opposed to toward, the officials most likely to see or hear him.

You keep babbling nonsense about headsets and just trying to get anyone's attention, and none of it explains why Bert would have run onto the field as opposed to straight down the sideline.

But, by all means, please continue your illogical defense of illogic.

Someone has the tap the sideline official on the shoulder before he notices an overweight man in a big white windbreaker out on the field trying to call time out?

I think they'd more easily notice said fatty if he was in their faces as opposed to several yards away.

Well maybe they need glasses.. at least nearsightedness would explain some of the terrible spots Alabama's opponents seem to get consistently

Well, we know of their history of being unable to see twelve men on the field for Arkansas, so perhaps you're on to something.

You saw that happen what, like once .. in one game? I'm glad at least one bad call went our way.. we are discussing the lengthy history of bad calls that have rolled Bama and Florida's way over the past several seasons.

This argument has grown tiresome however and you'll clearly argue with an inanimate object.. much less a fellow human.

Have the last word and be on your way :hi:

Wait! Don't leave without explaining how the refs cost you the Georgia game!
