I am sorry to double post but that conference is just killer top to bottom. they have some mean teams in them. Clemson is good, GT should be good this year, Nc state is a sleeper ( never count chuck almato out), maryland should return to form this year. That conference is loaded.

thats not what i meant though. I meant that the sec isnt the best conference. But they may have to play them in the acc championship game. Oh yeah and i forgot a team, BC.

I disagree. I think the ACC is probably second (close) to the SEC. Top to bottom its the SEC

Competition-wise, I don't think there's much difference between the ACC and SEC since the ACC brought in BC, Va Tech and Miami.

Yeah really you can go hand and hand with them, But saying the sec is better top to bottom than the acc is crazy. acc is just as deep as the sec, it just matters who you think is stronger at the top. Personally i think the acc is stronger than the sec (even though i love the sec). jmo though.

I think until we see how the coaching situations at Florida and LSU are going to work out along with how good Auburn is going to be after losing all those guys, you can't really say the SEC is better.

If you're going to put Bama on the SEC list, you've got to add Ga Tech, Virginia, BC, UNC and Clemson to the ACC side.

Agreed, Bama and even Auburn probably could be left off the list with the exception of past season. I just see a larger drop off in the ACC

I wouldnt go as far as to say the ACC is loaded. They're a good conf. Much better then in years past, but not on the same level as the ACC. F$U plays UM, UF, VT. Those are the only contenders. They get to play teams like UNC, WF, GT, Maryland...etc. Whose #4 in the ACC, BC? Look at that and compare with the SEC. I would take an UGA or 'Bama over BC any day. Also, Miami, or UT? UM is on the decline, UT is on the incline. F$U? UF will toast them, and so would a little more than half the teams in the SEC. The ACC is a good conf. but not on the same level as the SEC. I wouldnt say they were loaded, and I wouldnt say they were a cupcake. Somewehre inbetween fits them.

As long as the SEC has Vandy, Kentucky, both Mississippis and South Carolina, there is no way you can say it's the best top to bottom. SEC = insane at the top, but bad at the bottom. ACC = not as strong at the top but the lowend is a lot better than the SEC's as Duke is the only truly weak team and WF is kinda weak.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. The ACC is a strong conference now, and FSU doesn't get a free ride anymore.

And you can't seriously suggest Miami is on the decline, GV. Just because you don't compete for the title every year for a decade doesn't make you an elite team. As much as I hate the Canes, you can't have a discussion of the best teams without mentioning them.

yeah two non undefeated years can make you look bad after ken dorsey's reign at miami.

Hmm...peach bowl, and theyre starting a freshamn with tons some unproven players on both sides of the ball. I say theyre on the decline.

Hey can you remind me who they beat in the peach bowl???????

I thought we were talking about who was the better conference? Well If Miami is on a decline cause they went to the peach bowl last year, But florida can't be on a decline even though they went to the same bowl game. Miami always reloads and is very very deep on defense.

They alwasy do reload. Doesnt mean theyre proven players. Anytime you're starting a frosh. QB youre under question. Each year their win totals have gone down. Id say thats declining.
