Sec Title Scenarios

Crazy thing is if we lose to South Carolina and end up in a 3 way tie with Alabama then South Carolina is the 1 seed based off best winning percentage between the teams tied. Idk if the SEC has ever had 3 co-champions before. Lamont Paris should be unanimous COY regardless what happens this coming week. He has done an incredible job this season.

South Carolina 2-1
Tennessee 2-2
Alabama 1-2

1999-2000 season had 4 teams share: Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and LSU.

If we win 1 more game we are at least co-champions. Win both and we are outright champions.

So 1 win is still a championship banner.
There’s only one banner I’m interested in hanging, and it’s not a conference one.

That loss has haunted us all year. We finally get to exercise that demon Wednesday night.
Yeah that’s the best thing, is that we get to play them twice and have a second chance to redeem ourselves there.

I don't see playing in the SEC tourney does the team any favors. Nothing to gain here. I would propose the top 2 seeds can sit it out and just rest and recover for the real tourney.

We hold tie breaker over Bammers, AU. But not USCe at the moment. Really just beat them and end it all together.
There are no tiebreakers. You simply share. We need to win the last two games to win outright unless Alabama loses. And we’d need SC to lose to MSU if we lose to them, then UT beat Kentucky.

Win Wednesday and we have it outright. Lose to USCjr and we're needing them to lose at MSU and we of course beat UK. We lose both and not really much of a chance of us getting a share.
That's what I figured, too. That would be a 3-1 finish at worst. Should be enough to get us that #1 seed. Can't ignore our body of work and that finish. Wed night is huge.

We would have the 1 seed wrapped up due to tiebreakers but there is still the chance of a tie with Alabama. Even though we swept them it would still be considered co-champions and both schools will be allowed to raise a banner.

Win this next game. I think we will if the players are ready to play. Have just had two big games but there can't be any competitive
or motivational letup against a good SC team playing at home. We'll need another strong game--and probably need Mashack on that sturdy
guard for SC who's a good player (forget his name). SC plays a different, slower tempo, and let's hope we're ready for it, having played
them once already.

If SC beats us Wednesday, they are the 1 seed

Edit: didn’t see what you were replying to. My b

Winning against Auburn and Alabama were monumental obviously. But with two games remaining, I’m assuming that if we beat South Carolina we clinch the regular season title. If we lose what do the tiebreakers look like
IF we lose to SC that means we are 0-2 against them and if they beat both teams go on to win their final game USC wins
If we win 1 more game we are at least co-champions. Win both and we are outright champions.

So 1 win is still a championship banner.
If our one loss is to USCe that not true they would have a 2-0 record against us. Basically we have to beat South Carolina to avoid a mess of the hottest variety. If we do beat them and lose to Kentucky then we end up tied with Bama who we have a 2-0 record against. Everyone else would still be one game behind. These last 2 games are rough matchups.. we have USC at their place and luckily have Kentucky at home but they are probably our worst matchup with Ivisic starting to get in his stride. They have 3 seven seven-footers and Trey Mitchell meaning even if Awaka and Aidoo are not in foul trouble we could have some issues they are a team that can go really big or small at the drop of a hat. So, us beating USCe is basically for all the marbles.

Agree on Paris. He’s done an incredible job with that team.
