SEC Tournament

Ole Miss made a decision not to guard whoever was playing the 5 for Arkansas and Austin was roving around to provide additional defensive coverage on whoever had the ball. That won't work against Tennessee, but they probably don't need to play as tight on Tennessee on the perimeter. I'm more worried about whether Tennessee can slow down Shakira Austin. She was unstoppable last night.

Need to get off to a fast start was very slow starting against them in Knoxville got behind by double digits early. Austin had 16 in Knoxville need to keep her there again. Johnson was huge for them in last game 19 points can't let her have a great game.

The problem was how many players with high rankings that Holly recruited ever played up to their rankings while here. Most played like three star or below. Only Davis in the last few classes. Evina never did much here and Burrell until Kellie got her. We've had several other players that couldn't play at the level they were supposed to and includes Deshields, Hayes, and Cooper and many others. So we'll have to see where players go that Kellie recruits totally satisfied if the top fifty players she has recruited can advance like Burrell has this season.

The problem was many,,,lack of player development,,,no gamesmanship in games,,,no player respect,,,,a staff that had to have Holly-vision or go somewhere else,,,no holding player accountable for on court or off-court theatrics,,,etc

Coach K does not have so many of these problems
she has adjusted to the conference
she has shown player development
her staff does not convey a lack of confidence
the players are on board
When she lands the "big fish" in recruiting in 2022,,she will erase that supposed deficiency (although I am not onboard with this thought...I consider Striplin, Wynn, Puckett and Miles ALL good gets for a first year SEC coach who has come to a program that carries a stigma from all those years of Hollyball)

Am I the only one that feels confident? Come on Coach Jumper. The last time they played us they played their best game of the season and we got off to a slow start and still won. I think we win by something like 76-59.

exactly that
when we shake this Dr Jeckyll/Mr Hyde thing and come out like a team on a mission to dominate and beat everyone in our path like we're capable of,,,,I will lose what little insecurity I have re this team.

Know this though, I put it on the coach, bc, if I was coaching them, I'd take the blame...they are the same players today, yesterday and tomorrow with the same abilities,,,it is up to me to get it out of them

Looks to me like Kentucky was not in tournament shape. Getting doubled up by UGA in the first half and Kentucky already looks gassed. UGA is killing them off the bounce. Staiti is going a great job in the paint on both ends.

May have spoken too soon. A little renewed energy from the rest of the wildcat team to start the second half. Coach Elzy must have had something to say at the half.

Love when Catch calls the games. Her little stories are great. Just told one about when she was in school and they were playing Illinois. Apparently they had a really poor first half. She said all Pat did was walk in the locker room, give them all that look and then walked right back out.

Sometimes saying nothing at all speaks volumes lol.

Georgia sends KY home. They were the better team all game long.

Also, hearing the announcers mention Rhyne Time over and over was a bit much, IMO.
That's a hell of a balanced box score from UGA...especially when you compare it to Kentucky being nothing BUT "Rhyne Time". Other than Patterson, the rest of the regular rotation (I'm excusing Hunt) was largely useless today on offense. I wonder if it's coaching and that things would have been different if Mitchell was still there, or if the new player additions just aren't that good?
