SECCG #2 Bama vs #18 Florida (CBS)

How many starters/key reserves did they lose from pre-season through the first few weeks of the regular season

I don't follow Iowa football.

There were several posts predicting a UF bowl loss, and in the big picture it really doesn't mean much.

Not sure if you've been paying attention, but Harris is our backup QB.

I've been paying attention. Numbers weren't that dissimilar earlier in the year, too.

I appreciate your line is young and you don't have a QB. But, all is not well in Gainesville.

The big picture is in 2/16.

There are some that can't get it through their heads that what Florida did this season was overachieve in a very big way.

If 10-4 is where Florida finishes, it's where they finish.

In September, I was worried about bowl eligibility.

You've got to be kidding me.

From Will Muschamp and Auburn failing to Urban not making the playoff to Florida winning 10 games to the recruiting class we are about to bring in.....it's been damn near the perfect season.

Completely disagree.

Our first year coach made it to the SEC title game with no QB, no kicker and a garbage offensive line.

You post as though UF will be forced to play Harris for the next 10 years.

The future is bright in Gainesville.

I'm not kidding. Your defense was statistically on par with last season as was your offense.

No doubt you will recruit well. You always do.

It looks blindingly bright right now.

Muschamp put that defense on the field. Id be worried about that IF I were you.

Good thing I'm not you, because I'm not concerned about this staff's ability to reload on defense.

This year's defense was supposed to take a step back after losing Dante Fowler.

We were better without him, if that's possible.

Also, what are you guys feeding McElwain down there? Looks like he gained 30 pounds this season.

Florida never had good defenses before Will Muschamp.

I wonder if Florida will have defenses in the future that can put more than two linebackers on the field

I'll just go ahead and call it. The winner of Tennessee vs Florida next season will win the east. Gentlemen, we have come full circle.

Sarcasm. Nice.

You will have athletes. Did you even drop out of top 10 recruiting even with WM?

Will Muschamp recruited our 2006 defense that held Ohio State to 84 yards of offense in the BCS title game.

3 way race with UGA.

Eta: based solely on their recruiting.

Not really, and thats kinda the point we're making.

Muschamp recruited well but couldn't coach up what he had.

McElwain made a serviceable offense with Grier, and Collins got the most out of a depleted LB corps and a DL that was better than many expected following Fowler's departure.

You can harp on what UF doesn't have in the way of personnel, but our coaching staff is pretty damn good.

I haven't harped on what UF doesn't have, at all. That's my point. Your team was on par with WM's team last year when I pulled your stats. Maybe it's the O line, the QB, I don't know.
I don't follow your recruiting or the players you lose.
I was honestly surprised when I looked at the numbers because I expected improvement. Just didn't see it. That's all I'm saying.
