So does direct tv not get it? I mean what the ****? I thought the whole reason for the sec network was so this problem doesn't happen? So does anyone know for sure if direct tv will have the game?

611 or 611-1 on Directv. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm betting on it and since I am watching this season from home instead of Neyland, i sure HOPE it's on 611-1

On comcast's guide it says I will get either the bama game or UT...thats kind of a big deal to probably more than a few people as to which one we will get...I live in chattanooga if anyone knows the answer..thanks

No reason to freak out yet guys, SEC has alternate channels...like someone stated before it seems it's going to be on an alternate (i.e. 611-1 on DirecTV)....It even says so on this link posted above (atleast it did for me) Get the SEC Network

Comcast Alt channel not in HD per yesterday's Tennessean (Nashville newspaper). Their SVP of South region said it would not be in HD due to bandwidth....idiot. I have Comcast and will now be moving to either DirecTV or Uverse. Uverse has a great deal right now, but I have a question (actually two) for everyone:

DirecTV SEC network and ALT channel: Are they both in HD?

Who has Uverse? What is the overall feeling towards their service?

It's not listed as of yet on DTV so I can't tell you for sure if it is HD. That being said, all the other alt channels are in HD like MLB and Big Ten Net

60% chance of thunderstorms in Knoxville Sat. should be interesting what these programming morons do if there are delays - scheduling 2 games each 3 hours apart was incompetence at its finest --- sure the schools get big money but this network is far from fan friendly nationwide --- oh and goodbye Comcast you suck

I think the big questions are:

1 - Will there be an alternate station? i.e., 611-1
2 - Will it be a HD station
3 - Since I have a lot of friends on VN, can I get the Friends & Family credit?

On my direct TV phone app the only Ark St at Tennessee is a replay on 611 on Monday. My blood pressure is starting to rise. Someone tell me there is nothing to worry about. Please...

the 611-1 channel,he said he didn't know why it was that way,at least he was honest about it

we talked more football than the alt and some billing issues


he was a Fulmer fan too

My provider just said it would be a couple of weeks before they would have alternate channel(s) set up! I've got to see if I can get it on Watch ESPN i guess. ...and you guys are complaining about having to watch it in SD.
