Well said. Miles and Freshmen jitters are like oil and water. She is way too spunky for that. Puckett has the type of jitters that seem to be played out into being almost paralyzed by worry that she will a mistake, which turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy. Striplin's jitters are more like an adrenaline pump. Those two errant passes were so turbo charged due to her being so hyped up. Perhaps the Javelin could be a second sport for her :cool:.

I get feedback for saying things about her but that's how I feel.its so much more to her game with a lot of work she can bring.She hit a nice baseline jumper and immediately I thought if you drive from the 3 pt line when they close out to that spot it's MONEY

It will be interesting to see what we do with RH. The most obvious play is to match up RB on her and let them go toe to toe. But I think I favor putting Walker, Wynn, and maybe even Miles in her grill all night long. Key would have to be in the game to help on blowbyes and double if there is a post up. If Key is out I think you have to go with RB or Wynn to avoid a massive quickness or height disadvantage.

The rest of the team shot 38 percent on 47 shots and only scored 41 points. You have to take your chance on the other players and not let Howard get open looks.

Depends. Howard will get her points. But she’s not going to shoot 61% many games and especially against a good defense. I think between Rae, TK, and BK, we'll hold her to 20. She’s also not a strong rebounder. But Kellie and staff will show some new offensive wrinkles and double down on defensive sets based on the first time we played them. We’ve got the matchups.

Tess is essentially a freshman. She was hindered by an injury last season. Give her time.

Concerned that we're having more personal fouls (feels like we have, but maybe stats say otherwise) because of fatigue. Has anyone seen a "minutes-played" graph or list over the past 3 weeks?

I would start the game with J.Walker guarding R. Howard.. extend the defense with the press early on.
Work the ball inside to T. Key & get Darby involved with kick outs if Kentucky crowds the paint. Rae is the X-Factor.
Dye might get 20/10 in this game. The freshmen can give us a big spark after gaining quality experience on the big stage.
Feeling good about this game.

MississippiVol, the thing that I keep coming back to in my mind is the height difference between Bama and Kentucky, which could make it far more difficult for Dye to pull down double-digit rebounds tonight. So many of her boards last night were in heavy traffic with her juuuust outreaching the shorter Bammers. Kentucky isn't typically as strong at rebounding as we are, but today I guarantee they'll be scrapping.
