Hayden of course headed the NSA and fully supported the programs in question. Evidently, the Senate is comfortable with effectiveness, legality and necessity of these programs.

Evidently the Senate is quite comfortable with illegal aliens and numerous other items of questionable legality and ethics......Senate comfort doesn't mean things are approved in my book.
