Seeding has to be fixed immediately

Well, you can suffer from bias from whoever is feeding the computers, but better than a small group making it up .

Too many examples of interns filling out coaches brackets, and big pro city writers getting votes.
Does the committee change every year?

Who have they played? Half the SEC would have the same record with their schedule. G5 teams shouldn't get the bye.

Under the logic with Boise State, Tennessee or Alabama should just leave the SEC and join Sunbelt or American. Go undefeated and get guaranteed a bye/top 4 seed. Boise State should be the 11 or 12 seed.

the current criteria was the only way to get enough votes to setup a 12 team playoff. Without that, we would still be doing the 4 team.

Now, I expect discussions to be had on changes but it will be interesting to see if they happen. You have a 130 administrations which will vote on the changes.
You don't need all those people you need the SEC and the Big10. If the rest don't agree then tough luck they aren't invited anymore. You get the SEC and BIg10 to agree and tell the other conferences they can get on board or you will take all 12 teams from those conferences. Trying to cater to the small fish is what got us into this situation.

For the same reasons BB provides them with guaranteed spots, but seeds them on rank once in the field. Should have followed their lead.

I still want the field to go to 32, 16 games on CURRENT championship weekend, and 8 instead of 4 the next week. That should generate enough money to sooth the feathers. Anoint the conference champs like the old days. Who cares with NC on the line .

Seeding needs to mirror the polls and not who won some subpar conference championship..

That might happen in the future but I think Presidents of those universities are quite a way off from trying that leap.

They have to stop pretending that the B12 ACC and MWC are power conferences anymore they are group of 7 conferences. Conference champs should not get an auto bid. Just rank the damn teams. Tennessee was ranked the 6th best team in the country by the AP and Coaches and the 7th best team by the CFP committee and yet here we are playing on the road when we are widely recognied as better.

By their own damn ranking Tennessee should be hosting SMU and I think that's correct. That's where we belong.

They need to fix it.

I don't understand the outrage here.... For the CFP to expand to 12 teams, there had to be accommodations to the conferences getting left behind in all the realignment with the ACC and Big12.

The Auto Byes for Conference champs are not the current longstanding plans.

It goes on for 2 years. There will likely be an overhaul this offseason to expedite that. The outrage here is very silly. I guarantee you every coach and AD in the country was aware of the format for this season and next.

Good grief people. This format isn't going to last for years.

Seeding and Rankings are irrelevant when the CFP Committee are the ones doing both.... The only thing they don't control is seeding for 1-4 due to auto byes for conference champs. That goes away after next season unless they decide to blow it up this offseason which I think could be likely if there are a lot of blowouts due to the lopsided "paths"

Well we can blame the greedy conference expansions. Oregon would be the Pac 12 champion, Texas Big XII, MWC wouldnt have an auto bid. Arizona st wouldnt be in. Boise would have to have been an at large and no bye.
I will say this about joining the Big 10, if Oregon was 13-0 in the PAC they'd probably be ranked somewhere around 5-7 nationally. And if conference champions didn't get a bye, Oregon would probably be playing this weekend.
