You and I have discussed this before - which of the two sides currently has a greater or stronger tendency to "cancel" (I don't like that word, but don't know how else to describe it) the other. 20 years ago, it was definitely conservatives. Today, I think it is definitely progressives, and the results of the survey tend to bear that out.Did you see in OP's article' where 36% of conservatives think people should be fired for donating to Biden? Let's not pretend like this is all on the D's.
You mention that 36% of "strong conservatives" think people should be fired for a Biden donation, which is crazy, but exactly half of "strong liberals" think that way about a Trump donation.
I also think it says a lot that "strong liberals" are the only group surveyed where a majority (58%) of the group thinks they don't need to self-censor. Even a majority of centrist liberals (52%) think they need to self-censor. Why do you suppose that is?
Both ends of the political spectrum are dominated by snowflakes, but that doesn't mean they are snowflakes to precisely the same degree.
