The overwhelming majority of the conservatives are just people mad they can't say bigoted stuff. We all know it. Let's just be real
Or they don't feel like arguing with people who can't understand support for one idea doesn't mean support for all. Try explaining to a liberal that corps don't pay taxes. Try explaining to a conservative that Trump is more of a gun grabber than Obama. It would take days and days of circles

Try explaining that Amazon didn’t pay Federsl Corporate Income Taxes $O. Explain why that is

I may be wrong. It seems you want to give too many openings for explanations for conservatives on issues they are 100% wrong on.

In this case I'm sure there are a small group that live in a liberal city that may be afraid to say they support Trump. I know a ton of people here who have been in hostile situations due to now being Trumpers.

I'm only (imperfectly) trying to get to the truth. I don't think you are trying, TBH. You're not a very fair person in this forum or the NBA forum. I think you have a tendency to oversimplify things in ways that are convenient to your viewpoint.

For me, it’s that nobody knows how to argue anymore without becoming shrill, passive aggressive and generally obnoxious. Why would I subject myself to that?

Correct Trump is no where near 100% the problem. Trump, McConnell all GOP Members of Congress in total are 100% the problem

Ehh, let's just go ahead and say bad government for decades has led us to this point, as well as a pandemic. Example, you can't put all the blame Trump/current R's for his BS with dreamers without blaming Obama and D's for not taking care of the problem when they were in charge. You can't put all civil unrest on Trump/current R's when Biden and D's for decades have been doing their part to grow the police state.

Or explain why in 2018 only 5 % of of revenue income by the Federal government came from corporation income taxes. The shortfall 19 % had to be covered by going into more debt

Because they didn't show an accounting profit*, LOL. Guess how much they paid in US federal taxes last year? $2.4 billion. Again, $2.4 billion. Then add whatever they paid in local and international...

*they actually did pay $162M in income tax in 2019.

I would love to hear the opinions the conservatives are too afraid to put out there with the stuff they already say. I have idea an though.
Your bigger concern should be whether fringe liberal cancel culture has outpaced the silent majority's tolerances/beliefs, as well as what this means about election polls.

Oops.
