There were undefeated teams in 99 and 01 as well.

But yeah I see possibly UF or Bama going undefeated since they're clearly the top two teams in an SEC that seems down this year. Texas hasn't looked great so far but it's still early. Cal has a good shot if they beat Oregon tomorrow and USC next week. Penn State will probably drop one to OSU or Michigan.

right. no i was just pointing out those for being multiple undefeated teams either going into the last week or in the championship game.

Yeah, I get what all you mean there. But if PSU loses, it will probably be to someone they shouldnt really....like Iowa last year

I can see SCAR losing 5 of the last 8 games. One of those losses includes Clemson who, personally I think would get BOAT RACED by Ole Miss. The computer wont care, youre right about that, but the humans who vote will.

If Ole Miss finishes 12-1 that'll be great. They'll still have a front row seat to a CUSA or WAC team that went perfect.

that's where you're wrong though; you got it backwards.

The computer polls are the ones that count schedule strength, but they've made sure to make the computer polls count less and less almost each year (i believe they were the ones who initially calculated strength of schedule)

the human polls are the fault one. they just care that you have a good record, didn't lose in the last few weeks, and are in a big conference and/or a big name team (and i guess that theyve been seeing your highlights the last few weeks). The humans are usually the ones not to care much about schedule strength

But, even so, if Ole Miss goes 12-1 - meaning they beat a 3 or higher ranked bama most likely - and then won against most likely a one or no loss UF who would be in the top 10 at the time, it'd be hard for them not to end up beating 3-4 other top one loss teams.

SCs defense isn't what it had been for the past several years. UW didn't score a lot, but definitely made SC look slow at LB.

GUNDY.jpg
Im having second thoughts already and if they dont get it together in "Stoolwater" as Hat referred to it, Gundy may find himself in the same boat as Charlie Weis will undoubtedly be in at the end of the season. I say, for now, they're not terrible, but they were over hyped and have a tough road the rest of the way.

THE U.jpg
Underhyped, but he is starting to get attention. I've heard all this "The U might be back" crapola I can stand. Shut up and keep winning. Then we'll know. They gotta big one this weekend and next.

and finally I introduce to you this years SAC leader. Thats right boys. Not only do we lead the nation in total offense, we also house the leading SAC master.

I'll add a disclaimer for the little bit about aTm. Von is actually tied for 1st with 2 other guys as of right now, and aTm has the most yards per game thus far. Granted, we've had a bye week already so, who knows what'll happen after Saturday, but for now, I'd like to give my boys props for starting out strong.

The Rebs got themselves a Texas Qb, beat a Big12 team that had a scarce defense in a big bowl game thus begining their rise. Last night changed a lot.

you forgot being the only team to beat UF last season and making Tebow fumble on the game winning drive. :)

That contributed a huge amount to the hype in the end
