UT has hired Dave Serrano as its next baseball. Expect official announcement Thursday. Possible staff: Larry Simcox and Bill Mosiello.

Seems like we're getting the gang back together.

The idea of Fightin' Bill in 3rd base coaches boss i exciting.

I have a problem!

I don't think Bill Mosiello would quit being a minor league manager to be a college assistant. He has been far more stable in pros than he ever was in college.

And I did not think Slim would ever come back to college.

I think someone is jerking Jimmy's leg.

Still not thrilled about the degree thing.

Simcox coaching third is always potential for fun.

Wanted Holbrook, but it's obvious who UT wanted.

It is Hyams, so we'll see.

Holbrook did not like the AD situation and I cannot blame him for that. You always want to know who your boss is going to be. Serrano is a great hire--definitely on the same level as Holbrook, no doubt.

Sometimes, it's good to know what is NOT going to happen and Jimmy seems to provide this better than anyone.

Tweet by Kendall Rogers....Be interested to see what staff Serrano puts together at #UT. Have to believe Kirk Saarloos will be part of it. Serrano very high on him.

Since this is the 3rd thread on the same topic it would be nice to merge. This one should get the lead since its the one that doesn't have 'tweet' in the title.

Edit: Also because the thread title spells the guy's name wrong. Classic.

Outstanding hire!!!!! Now we know why Holbrook withdrew his name from the hat!

A couple of recruiting classes from now, we should be back in the S.E.C. tourney or CWS.
