Serious question regarding Glenn Beck

Did people just start hating on him recently since the switch from CNN-HLN to FNC, or did they hate him back then too? What is the history?

There is definitely a FNC angle to it. I don't like his public persona because it's all fabricated tripe to make a buck. The idea that the loudest and most outlandish can now make the most money says a lot about our culture vis a vis news.

I always thought he was a bit of a kook. Once he got out from under the pretense of any objectivity at CNN, however, he basically completely lost his mind. His Messiah Complex is in full swing now.

Won't be long until he does something really stupid and blows up his career. Probably going to be a sex thing.

First sentence is why you're essentially the Glenn Beck of the site (I'd also add everything's about race and general senselessness, but you get the point).

You've peddled this personal life blowup thing for quite a while, yet have never bothered to lay the same at the feet of the loony left types. Wonder why?

Hold up. First, you are willing to proffer anything that suits your agenda. Second, you have never let the douche piece be an issue before so I'm not buying now. Third, clearly racism at the root here and Beck cause it. Done and Done.

First, how does this guy who got shot mouthing off at a Tea Party person add or subtract anything to the debate? I'll point out to you he got arrested ....

Second, the "docuheness" quality of trying to make his situation into more than it is just does not answer the primary question.

Third, I never said the Giffords thing had anything to do with race. Who did?

At any rate, you and I are on the same page at least in terms that we view Beck as a con artist. Where we differ is that you think he believes very little of what he says whereas I think he believes almost all of it. Also, I think his antics hurt people by ratcheting up the fear factor whereas you think he is by and large harmless.

I don't care how he fits the debate, but you reached mightily to draw a conclusion about Loughner and it was borderline insane.

Douchocity comment was a joke.

You don't have to say it.

I really just don't give a crap about Beck, save the business angle. He is clearly a businessman and does almost everything he does from that mindset.

Glenn Beck was very similar on HLN but he has kicked up a notch since moving to FNC. I really don't care why he is hated by the left. Most of the commentary from the left is completely bogus as they generally attack Glenn and not his ideas. All Glenn does is to piece together statements made by all the lefties and to try to understand it in a larger context.

ONE example: Obama's parents and grandparents were communists and this heavily influenced young Barry. Barry surrounds himself with communists, socialists, terrorists, racists and America haters. It makes sense that someone would point this out. Glenn Beck is a hater and a racist (Obama is black) because he does this (obviously).

I agree that Beck is very concerned with making a healthy profit but the haters don't actually have any evidence that he doesn't believe what he's saying (that will not stop them).

Let's see if it's my ideas or ME that gets attacked. I'm putting my money on ME.

As I say, methinks with his ego that he will manage to blow it somewhere along the line, probably sooner than later.

his father was absolutely a member of the communist (or at the very least socialist) party. though there isn't a lot of evidence he had much to do with raising obama.

1. You can't get much farther left than the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu.

2. Why would Obama's mother's friend call her a "fellow traveler" if she wasn't a communist?

Why are you so worried about the "communist" label? Isn't it like a liberal wanting to be called a "progressive". It's semantics.

Do you do anything other than name calling? Can't you find a site that allows you to use foul language and not have to grab a dictionary to find the spelling of "undereducated" and "citizen"?
