Buy, sell or hold? Assessing 63 teams with annual Stock Report - College Basketball - Seth Davis - SI.com

"Tennessee Volunteers (10-4): BUY
Maybe I'm foolish to stick with the Volunteers, but I still believe there is too much talent here to miss out on the NCAA tournament. Plus, this stock price could hardly be much lower thanks to that loss at home to N.C. State on Dec. 18. Still, Tennessee beat a pretty good Virginia team by 25 points in Knoxville on Dec. 30, and once again, the SEC does not have much depth. In the end, I think the Vols will sneak into the tournament. The one cautionary note is that over the next three weeks, the Vols have road games at LSU, Kentucky and Florida. If you want to wait until afterward to make this purchase, I won't try to talk you out of it."

Wonder what he'd say now that we won by 20 at LSU?

Honestly, LSU is a bad basketball team. Had no discipline and i doubt that W does much for us by the end of the season. Coach had zero control of that team, so lazy

They are talented though. Jones has recruited pretty well, and JOB is one of the best big men in the league. They should win 10+ games in the league on talent alone. They get A&M, UGA, Arkansas, and UK twice. They can sweep A&M and UGA, and the Arkansas series will be important to have a chance at the Big Dance.

I'll wait on Tennessee. These next three games are huge. 2-1 is mandatory but I'm more interested in seeing how we play at Rupp even if we lose. LSU was a huge, huge win. We've played pretty solid for a few games now and consistency is key. We've been smacked in the mouth pretty hard and never gave up so I'm for sure buying into Tennessee making the tournament if we have a good showing these next few games.

I don't agree. LSU is the type of team that gives us fits. They are above average in the paint and athletic enough on defense. They are a solid team IMO and I think at least 5th best in the SEC

How come every team we beat sucks?

And every team we lose to is a bad loss?

Do we not play any good teams?

LSU is one of those teams that can hang 90 on you if you let them play their game.
We didn't.
Controlled pace from the tip off and made them work for every shot.
Evidence: 2 fast break pts.
