Did you watch the game? How can you say they were a good team when they play defense like a junior high rec league team? They are the only team I've seen this year that shot worse from the field than we did.

Is it out of the realm of possibility that perhaps we made a good team look bad for once? Is that really so hard to believe?

Our defense had a lot to do with their inability to make shots, especially from outside. Their shorter guards had trouble passing around our length, and trouble shooting over our length on the perimeter. We dictated tempo and killed them on the boards (40-28). They averaged 78 ppg and we held them to 50.

how convenient

Not that I condone BTO's compulsive gambling problem (lol), but he has been consistent from the start with his proposition, unlike the blowhards (who have conveniently vanished like a fart in the wind) who were so adamant that we weren't making the tourney.

I don't know that our 2007 team would win in Rupp with Cal there. He just doesn't flat lose to anyone there, regardless of his teams chemistry. You pretty much have to have your best game to overcome the environment, refs, and talent. A 2 point win in Rupp is probably like a 15 point win on a neutral site IMO.

And people were saying the same thing about Allen Field House till the Aztecs came to town last weekend.

Apples and Oranges.
Ky is a bad match up.
Of course they could have a bad day, but feel free to put your money where your mouth is when the line comes out.

Oh we've played lights out better since that horrendous NC State game. I'm just saying that after watching the LSU game, I don't think that will help us much with our RPI by the end of the season cause I think that is a pretty weak LSU team. They might have talent, but they have zero mental toughness. I would be shocked if they finish better than 6th in the SEC.

How many times have you seen LSU play? Since you know about their "mental toughness"

Get ready to be shocked then "bigsteve". Because they will finish in the top 6. LSU is better than you think they are. Beating them at home by 20 was a good thing for UT.
