Seth Davis says "buy" Vols...

How come every team we beat sucks?

And every team we lose to is a bad loss?

Do we not play any good teams?

Did you watch the game? How can you say they were a good team when they play defense like a junior high rec league team? They are the only team I've seen this year that shot worse from the field than we did.

You obviously haven't watched many UT games.

This news seems kinda old.... Ya know since we've already drubbed LSU.

The piece was obviously written before the LSU game, but I left that in there to bolster the "buy" argument since Vol fans know that we won that game.

I'll wait on Tennessee. These next three games are huge. 2-1 is mandatory but I'm more interested in seeing how we play at Rupp even if we lose. LSU was a huge, huge win. We've played pretty solid for a few games now and consistency is key. We've been smacked in the mouth pretty hard and never gave up so I'm for sure buying into Tennessee making the tournament if we have a good showing these next few games.

They are playing good and I hope it continues. I think they are 12-4(3-0) going into Rupp. Including UK, they have 15 games to play. If they can go 11-4 or 10-5 going into the SECT they stand better than they did last year. I'm also hoping Cuonzo can change the SECT fortunes of UT. Make it to the weekend and that's 2 more wins. Would love to see an SECT championship. We're in no matter what.

Well LSU still shot better. Also it's not cause those 2 teams suck it's cause we have played the best defense in the past 4 games than we have all year.

Oh we've played lights out better since that horrendous NC State game. I'm just saying that after watching the LSU game, I don't think that will help us much with our RPI by the end of the season cause I think that is a pretty weak LSU team. They might have talent, but they have zero mental toughness. I would be shocked if they finish better than 6th in the SEC.

I don't know that our 2007 team would win in Rupp with Cal there. He just doesn't flat lose to anyone there, regardless of his teams chemistry. You pretty much have to have your best game to overcome the environment, refs, and talent. A 2 point win in Rupp is probably like a 15 point win on a neutral site IMO.

It's called defense Steve.
Held both teams well under 60 that usually score above that. Especially LSU.

I'll chalk this up to you being a football fan that simply goes off what his wife says about the basketball team?

LSU is the only team you've seen shoot worse than us from the field? Really? We have shot better from the field than our opponents 10 out of 14 games.

There were a handful of people also saying Xavier sucked and were a horrible team about a month ago...those people look pretty dumb right about now.

And if they finish 6th or better it's still likely to help our RPI lol

Did you think we would beat Virginia by 35 or lsu by 18 at home?
Apples and Oranges.
Ky is a bad match up.
Of course they could have a bad day, but feel free to put your money where your mouth is when the line comes out.
