No, he has pretty much always been anti-government regardless of who is in power. His reporting on the My Lai Massacre was great but also, obviously, a very long time ago. He deserved his Pulitzer for it but even Hugh Thompson said that he got a lot of things wrong. He did expose the atrocities of Paul Meadlo, William Calley, Gary Roschevitz, Ernest Medina and Varnado Simpson but also got several of his facts wrong regarding who was actually present.
