Severe Weather Thread

the only bright side of severe weather for me is watching the storm updates... i learn so much about the surrounding area. a lot more than i've learned in the year i've lived here.

the weather report i'm watching is featuring never before seen colors on their rotation map... that's reassuring.

had a wall cloud pass over my apartment complex, i didn't see it. its raining so damn hard right now with hail.

I know it's taboo but it's difficult not to ask people where they are when they post about weather in their area.

I'm tucked under my mattress in my west little rock apartment.

Just got a text from a friend in Knoxville that fort sanders got hit by a tornado. Sent some pics, I'll post them when i crawl out later.

Wasn't a tornado. A very strong thunderstorm though. Power out everywhere. Cars are crushed on campus from falling trees.

Between 10:00 and midnight for us. The late rain may have helped us , because the sun wasn't out long enough to heat up the atmosphere again. We will see what we got last week. The super cells will form the line prior to reaching the river. Some doppler indicated Tornadoes. Lots of rain. What is good is that most of the worst Tornadoes are formed within individual supercells. If we only get the squall line, I will fell better about the tornado risk. Still might get damage from straight line winds like we had in Jackson . If any supercells form ahead of the squall line, then watch out. Thats what caused our Tornadoes in 1999, 2003, 2008.
