Thought this was cool.

This is severe weather to me:

Last night, we had to use the air conditioner to cool the house down enough to go to sleep.

Tonight, we have the heat turned on.

Few things have ever put the fear of God in me like a funnel barreling down at me. Not cool. I would like to try my hand at storm chasing though.

Me, too.

I have survived 2 twisters, one being this past weekend. The 1st one I was participating in a Civil War Re-enactment in Aiken, SC. We were sitting in camp in the middle of a field. No where to go.

The 2nd, last weekend, I was at a high school girls softball tournament. 15 teams rode the storm out in the parking lot while a tornado passed 1/4 of a mile from us. It really messed up the VA at Mountain Home in Johnson City.

Tex, hopefully you guys will get some rain soon.

It didnt get as bad here yesterday as they predicted

Central Miss and Bama got hit hard

Got jolted out of bed at 6:15 this morning by a friend of mine calling because there was a tornado headed in my general direction. I went downstairs to check things out and suddenly I heard the signature roar, stuff started hitting the house like bullets and we had to take cover. Went outside at first light and it was very obvious that we were right in the debris path. All things considered, my house did ok compared to my neighbors, but it's been a rough day.
