When I was a kid every fan had a shaker. We need to bring that back, If Clemson can have 85k shakers we need 102k.

Clemson fans are also douchebags!

But your point is valid. UT used to put shakers on the bleachers...especially at away games. Do they still do that?

Seriously? Alabama fans have always cracked me up. There are thousands of 50 yr old men who really believe Alabama won their last 4 National Championships because at crucial points in a game, they shook their pom poms harder than the fans of the other teams.

Distribution became a problem. When they put them in the stands, people would grab a dozen or so. When they passed them out at the gates, some got gone in a hurry and others piled up. They should just sell them for a dime each and let everybody get a dollar's worth! They would think they got a bargain and everyone would wave 'em like pre-teen cheerleader wannabe types!

Didn't they also use to have shaker recycle bins?

There's not a lot of shakers at UT games. I don't see a problem with them. Can't really use rally towels since that's A&M and USCe's thing.

u been reading too much clay travis

No. I have read where he says that but I have always said that (long before he wrote anything). Every other year when Alabama comes to Neyland, we make so much fun of the Alabama "men" who bring their pom-poms from home and shake them during games, they eventually get too embarrassed to continue with their cheerleading skills.

"Up here, we let our women shake the pom-poms." To be honest, I have never understood why a man would want to do that.

I personally love watching pom poms on tv...it looks awesome and I really don't think it's a big deal if a man wants to use one....they're awesome.

I love this idea of, "if a man has a pom-pom, the masculinity fairy comes down and deducts man-points".

Your logic is just profound.

Real men do not shake pom poms ever.

Im an fn man. If i want to shake a shaker, I will. And I'll stand, blocking backwards view, and shake that dam thing the entire game.

'Cause Go Vols! By God!

Maybe Backwards is a little too worried about appearing backwards.

Lets do the shaker for offense and the big foam finger for defense. We could wave the finger like Mutombo and say, "not in my house."

There is a big sale on "Figthing Irish" cups, maybe we could pass them out for free.

I would personally like to see a coon skin hat under each seat before the game.

And Halloween plastic teeth...you know the bad, gapped-tooth ones. Maybe one of the front teeth has a gold power T too.

And play deliverance duelling banjos when the opposing team takes the field.

We don't need no stinkin rags!

How bout a half orange and half white bra with Power T's on them to shake?

We could also use them as sling shots.
