LOL, I announce for our local football team and I play dueling banjos every time the visiting team takes a time out. Also play Andy Griffith, Leave it to Beaver, and Jeopardy theme music. Visitors don't take many TO's at our field.

yes, someone should contact the UTAD, or whoever, and let them know that they should hand out shakers for at least the SEC games. It really does look nice.

Students get them for most basketball games, along with a newspaper...football should do more like that, it really gets the students into it.

Funny someone should bring up shakers/pom poms. At the Austin Peay game there was a kid sitting behind me who had one and I got hit with it at least 5 times. The stands are already too cramped to add extra flailing objects in the mix.

Count me in the pro-shaker crowd. I thought they were fun. Also, the handles could be used to stir your coke if needed for any reason.

For God's sake call the damn things what they really are, Pom poms, and if you're a dude, and you wanna carry one, by all means do it.

I think it's cool, but it's not like y'all are the only school that does it.

no points are deducted. The ones making that claim are unlikely to ever be on the committee anyways
