Who is the criminal in this case? Some salon's were already able to open up. Pelosi's staff called someone to make an appointment and the business owner (permitted or not to open) granted an appointment. Are the criminals the ones that got their hair done or the ones doing the hair?

The shutdowns were 100% wrong but stimulus packages are socialist. That money handed out has to be paid by someone else and in this case that someone else is future generations. Not to mention it's nothing but vote buying, it's politicians who ****ed up buying your vote.

It's probably easier to do blanket stimulus. I would say the stimulus checks are the best example of the socialism complaint and to your point, I'd have to agree. PPP loans are different imo.

You're a little of course, here. First of all, the state governments shut down. So, the state (not the federal) is responsible if reimbursement is warranted. Secondly, I don't find in the Constitution where the g Government has a duty or obligation to guarantee people remain financially unaffected; even in times of emergency. Third, the federal government cannot 'give money' to one group without taking from another. In this case, the people on the hook are not even eligible to vote...they are our kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

I may have my acronyms mixed, but some of those loans are forgivable if the business meet certain criteria like maintained employees. A forgivable loan is redistributed money.

I think the mayors and governors that shut businesses down should be sued personally. I can't believe there isn't several class action lawsuits going on now.

Fifth amendment has a takings clause that I think applies to the government shutting down business. To your point, the states and local governments are the ones that did the shut down so federal assistance shouldn't be on the table. I can agree with that.

It would have applied if Biden was in charge as he has stated many times that he would do a national lockdown. Hed get impeached for it, imo.

Come on. Nobody is a criminal. It’s just not a good look. I can give her the benefit of the doubt that she really didn’t think she was doing anything wrong, but she doesn’t need to double down and ask for an apology.
