I'll say this if Martin takes him I hope he becomes an All American for VOLS and becomes a lottery pick. Hope he earns his degree as well. Nothing but best wishes to the kid.

I DIDN'T SEE HIM PLAY THIS SUMMER!!!

The last time Lewis saw him was at science hill, as I said back a few pages, he has gotten more physical especially this summer.

You completely just proved my point.

This was my quote, that not one scout from this summer agrees with you that he's "charmin soft". And yet who do you quote, a guy who says, I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM PLAY THIS SUMMER.

Dooley says Shannon is thinking everything over right now, he should be on later to give everybody the full scoop. Expect a choice sometime this week is my guess.

He's an impressive man, and to certain types of people, he absolutely gains the respect of and impresses. I don't know if he'll be able to pull all these talented guys this year...

However, if we have a good year or two, I think between him as a person and the history of success hell have going, his recruiting will be elite. I really think we may have found a gem for our coach, when you think about where the program was a year ago, and now were talking about landing a top 10 class, absolutely unbelievable.

Truly a fantastic job by him. I think next year is going to be special. I don't know if we are final four good, but I can see a 22-23 win season.

Yea I agree, I wasn't sure if you were talking about this year or next.

Talking about next years class yes I agree. I've said it in another thread, I think CCM is trying to set up for a final four/championship run in 2013. It looks like there's a good chance well pass on a PG, which looking at quickly doesn't seem like a good idea. However, if passing on a PG means adding Crawford, Jw3 or someone like that then I agree with the decision. If you can pull a class of say: Crawford, Hubbs, Hale and Nichols you're setting yourself up nicely for 2013. If they have a great year and make a final four say, he'll have no problem landing an elite PG in 2014 who he can rely on to come in as a freshman and contribute.

If we pull that class it's very likely you could see:

Golden
Hubbs/ Crawford
McRae/ Edwards
Nichols/ Hale
Stokes/ Yemi

That's final 4 good IMO. Possibility of adding a 5th like Jw3 or Stephens and parting with a current player, OH MY!

One thing that's been in the back of my mind since this started is, "What the heck is Anthony Grant doing?" This has been on several boards, so he has to know. Is he worried, mad, talking to the Hales? On the one hand, he might be putting on a full court press. The other extreme would be, "if the kid is thinking about bailing and it's out on the Tennessee boards - two can play that game. Either re-commit now or the offer is rescinded."

Surely Grant is doing something?

Grant has been contacting Shannon a lot. Shannon told me 10 minutes ago he's torn on the decision and is turning his phone off and will let me know once he makes a final decision

Yea I'd have been shocked if grant wasn't blowing him up. I got a feeling he sticks with bama, I really hope he flips though.
