He was a coordinator in the NFL. He was an awful HC in both NFL and at A&M. He won't be an OC in college. He will go back to NFL

He had 2 losing seasons, went 9-4, and was fired this year at 6-6. I would bet 1/2 the fan base wanted him fired after the 2 losing seasons.

Would they have been better off firing him after 2 years? I would say yes. 1 winning season VS 3 .500 or under seasons equals a bad hire. Sometimes it is just better to cut your loses.

Sure glad everyone is not "asking the question", only the sad, lonely, failures who need to bring down others to their level actually want DD fired. Many are upset with UK loss, but only a few really want him gone. A lot of board, out of work, people who hate themselves post here.

I want DD fired and I am far from sad and lonely. As for failures, REALLY?

Not only a "few" want him gone, MANY want him gone.

Some of you pro-Dooley guys are quick to start insulting people because they do not agree that Dooley is a good coach. I agree all the rumor threads are stupid but if you don't like it stay off the board for a while, your going to see these threads up until the Kick-Off Classic.

He should as long as he wins 8 games next year...I thought he could be safe with 7 before the KY game...not so sure anymore.

PeoPle forget Saban lost to some directional Louisiana school his first year with a much more experienced team AT HOME! I'll be the first to say dOoley has to go next year if he doesn't perform but sometimes the better team loses

Except them beating us in 2007 but losing to bum-f Louisiana would be more the equivalent to us beating UGA this year but losing to buffalo. Point is no coach wins them all and I am the first person to say that of Dooley doesn't win thIs year he's gone

I would hope Hart would ask for tangible improvement to be shown in year 3 as a condition for a year 4.

I don't think asking for 4-4 in conference (if the SEC schedule remains the same) is unreasonable. That would be improvement, a sign that we are actually moving forward with results on-the-field.

But if we get the same results as we did this year, then the ranks of the oblivious will no doubt be blaming the fans and demanding Dooley get year 4 for the sake of stability and the all-important recruiting championship.

Standards don't apply to Dooley in some quarters. They didn't this season. They will not in season three.
