People are not either crazy or sane.
Sanity is on a continuum.
There's a little crazy in everybody, and it's not a constant.
There are many factors that cause one to move in either direction on the continuum.
There are also many factors that determine how a person's level of crazy is manifested.

Trumpism feeds the normalization of crazy and increases, maybe even encourages, its manifestation,

Some people teetering on the edge of sanity perceive Trumpism as a validation of their insane thoughts and even a call to action.

There is no getting around that fact and it's just one of the many things that makes Trump horrendously despicable.
