The question is should Alex Jones be allowed on Twitter (today, no time travel involved)

Twitter is a private company currently owned by Elon Musk. The first amendment applies to government censure. Elon is not the government.

Elon can ban anyone and has already banned the kid that tracks his plane.
When Twitter and the government were working hand in hand to silence people and ban them, they were no longer a private company, but a proxy of our federal government.

Present tense they are a private entity owned by Elon Musk. He is not the government and can ban anyone including Alex Jones or me.

Could twitter have banned someone before Musk took over?
Of course, and if people didn't like it, they could just start their own Twitter. The liberal loonies never planned on someone that didn't think like them could buy it? Oh noooo.

What was Joe Biden's job in the government in October 2020?

Who controlled the Senate?

Who controlled the Supreme Court?

Who controlled the Presidency?

Twitter wasn't working with the government; they were working with the Democratic party, an entity that had very little federal power in Oct 2020....

The liberal loonies are not the ones in a state of hysteria about twitter having chosen to ban accounts several years ago.

Nah they are just the ones who blew out their cornhole when he bought it. Stomped their feet, insisted they would leave the platform, and that it would be the end of Twitter. But at the end of the day, the vast majority are still tweeting, and patting themselves on the back for owning a Tesla

As I've said before there is substantial evidence that Tesla, as a product and as a business, is suffering due to Musk's devotion of time and resources to twitter. The guy develops the best EV and advances space launches considerably ... and then goes off on an unrelated tangent of messing around with social media.

If his honest goal was to develop a good and successful social media product he would have just created one. He's done it before. Instead he spent literally tens of billions of dollars in a hissy fit to make a point about the existing platform with which he disagreed --- and no one cares, except for stockholders of Tesla who are losing value and owners of Teslas whose cars aren't up to snuff.

Face it, the entire exercise of him buying Twitter has been an enormous waste of time and money with no significant benefit to anyone, whatsoever.

The were working with both the Democratic Party and the FBI. The FBI told them to squash the Hunter Biden stuff. This is way worse than people want to admit.

I am not arguing it hasn't been bad for Tesla and that it wasn't a bad move by Musk. I am pointing out liberal dip **** behavior, inconsistency, and smug attitudes.

In fact this should be very familiar to you. Liberal response to twitter has been the same as your take your ball and go home thread on here. Lots of biatching, moaning, and self righteousness. Telling the world you are done. BUT HERE YOU ARE. Just like your buddies on twitter.

Does the same logic apply when Biden nominates someone or are they just left wing hacks?

Pretty much all of them regardless of what party they affiliated with are left wing hacks. Agency heads/directors at the federal level are all about accumulating power/influence and expanding the reach of said agency, party means nothing.

Elon Musk Restores X Account of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones

Elon Musk has restored the X account of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, pointing to a poll on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter that came out in favor of the Infowars host who repeatedly called the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting a hoax.

Dumb comment. No users "planned" on anything because they didn't own the company. Musk is an idiot and a white supremacist who owes nearly all his business success to government subsidies and tax breaks, by the way.

Free speech comes with responsibilities. You can't just sprew transparently fraudulent rhetoric and obvious propaganda ad claim "free speech." Alex Jones is vile and pathetic---look at him trying everything he can to avoid paying his massive penalty for defaming Sandy Hook families. What a loser. There are no Alex Jones's or any of the other right-wing morons/crazies like him on the left. Why is that, Earls?

Alex Jones is a full of s-it whack job but it's the call of the owner, Elon Musk.....

If you got rid of all the people who spout BS about things they know little about, social media would lose half its users immediately
