I voted no, originally, because of the timeframe. Consider one less vote for no on this poll. It's time for dude to be sent out of knoxville.

I just became aware of BP's contract provisions....MH needs to go, this is insane

I voted no simply because when Dooley pans out, people will praise the man. However, three sports under serious scrutiny and two bad contracts makes the guy look pretty bad. His situation is more controversial than any coach, IMO. He has the best chance of being removed if anyone. Plus, the baseball coach sucks.

After the new info about BP contract, I think he should be given a final warning. With the Reaves info coming up again, and Pearl's contract, it's almost enough to tilt the scales in my mind, and I'm a MH fan. I still believe you gotta' get a stable president before you can have confidence in a hire made for an AD. I'd hate to get the wrong person in the job.

UT has tradition and great facilities. Hamilton has worn his welcome out. Kiffin alone should have been enough.
UT should be a top10 program year in and year out in football.

hamilton screwed up the contracts for kiffin and pearl, allowing them to escape without any penalties. Plus, UT will have to pay pearl millions if they fire him. Why didn't hamilton use an attorney for these contracts?

Fulmer got lazy is the reason our football program is in the present state. Phil got his arse kicked by Wyoming at home.

Right, Fulmer's the reason Hambone's hired two losers as replacements...

Hambone's decison's are his to live with and vol fans to suffer through

coaches are judged by records..
There's winners and losers, and until you crack the .500 mark, you don't move to the winner column

He has made decisions that have looked awful bad in the 20/20 of hindsight, in the moment I'm guessin he made the best call with what he had in front of him. However Men in positions at that level can't be wrong much let alone often, there are too many options out there for Universities with deep pockets and short list agendas, he's literally as replacable as a sonic cook. Yes he should be shown the door loudly and with advertisement.

Hamilton will not be leaving on his own. Leaving yes, on his own no.

What are the qualifications to be an AD?? What course do they take to get this certificate??? Did Vince Dooley, Bear Bryant, Pat Dye etc do that?

I would say they need to do this:
1. Manage coaches.
2. Attract and hire coaches due to the respect you have in the profession.
3. Work to keep the NCAA out of the house.
4. Raise money.

Okay, if that is the job description let us look.

1. Phil managed many coaches very well on his path to unprecedented success.
2. He is respected by those in the profession as a coach would always like to work for someone that has successfully walked in their shoes. He was elected by his peers are the President of the coaches association.
3. Had the best run in UT history with no NCAA penalties.
4. The silent majority is very much in favor of him and will support him financially. This silent majority is also the biggest donors. Of course he sold out every game he coached.Fact.

Those with unwarranted venom to a Hall of Famer and UT legend that only had unrivaled success based on UT history are misguided. All he did was win at a record level and bring this school its only legit National title. Get over it. It is his job if he wants it and he is much more qualified than the current guy.

He is obviously very proud of this post as this is the second thread he's put it in. Good job if this is your first effort on this board. Even though there is nothing correct in your post, it is well written.
