Should the Osama death pictures be released?

I want to fly an F-22 Raptor. But since that doesn't fit into the nation's best interests, I accept that I can't. I suggest you take a similar mindset.

I still want to see the pictures.

Doubts? Here is the number to DEVGRU (757) 462-7942. Feel free to call them with any concerns you may have over their kill or the identification of OBL. Be sure to give them your address.

hard to see anyone being all that much more outraged by releasing the pictures compared to the actual killing. but i'm ok with it if the military thinks it's a bad decision.

At this point, the guy is confirmed dead, so why see the pictures?? Do people not trust the government??

Believe it or not, there are people out there who don't. :)

Personally I'd like to see them, but not for the sake of confiming his death, I just think it would be interesting to see them. IMO pictures of a dead Bin Laden could easily be faked and released to the public anyway. Knowing the backlash that is sure to come in the middle east, I doubt they would make the whole thing up for no apparent reason. To be honest, I wouldn't have been surprised to find out that he had been dead for years, so I'm not waiting on visual proof to believe that he's dead now.

IMO they will release something, be it video/pics of the raid, DNA results, etc. However, I find it hard to imagine that they would show an actual body given the sensitive nature to Muslims and this administration's propensity for political correctness. On some level, I can understand why they wouldn't.

Personally though, I wouldn't mind seeing the SOB with a hole in his head.

Per TMZ:

An official has told CNN ... REAL photographs of Osama's body exist ... which show a gunshot wound to the side of his head. The official says due to the wounds, bin Laden's face is "unrecognizable."

So they shot the ugly off of him? SEALS are intense.

WHITE HOUSE TO RELEASE BIN LADEN DEATH PHOTO
Tue May 03 2011 10:22:50 ET

President Obama decided Tuesday morning to release at least one photo showing Osama Bin Laden's death, a top source claims.

The images, being described as 'graphic', are bound to stir emotions in the east and the west, and will likely become the most viewed photographs in modern history.

One image shows a bullet wound to his head above his left eye.

Will it remove all doubt about the death?

The exact timing on the release is being debated.

Developing...

Why in the world are we so hesitant to release the photos? If Muslims are so peaceful and tolerant why would we be worried about a backlash?
