Should we worry if CBJ is successful?

He is from Michigan. What are the chances he leaves to go coach Michigan or Michigan State, if he has the kind of success we all want him to have?

If that happened Gen. Neyland would rise from the grave and take over as coach, AD, Chancellor, and Governor. UT would then win an NC every year and all Bammers would commit mass suicide.

P.S. this is fairytale meant to comfort people who spend their days making up stuff to worry about.

CBJ strikes me as an opportunist. The only thing I believe might draw him away would be the NFL. And, his style doesn't seem like the type that would translate well to the pros.

I mean to be fair Colorado wanted to give him the entire football program, tons of money and probably even name a day after him and he passed on it for the chance to come to Tennessee. I think he's thrilled to be here personally. I love the fact that he opened the practices and his office to former Vols.

No, bc if he's winning and successful that means UT is relevant again. When Tennessee is relevant, it's a top 3 or 4 job in the nation - no reason to go anywhere else.

No...he's gone from smll program to a medium one and now probably has his "Dream Job" at large institution like Tennessee. Even if he takes us in a Top 20 postion he'll want us in the Top 10. And after that I see him still not satisfied until he holds the NC Trophy over his head and still want more. TBesides winning establishing a legacy is the next big thing.

The big worry will be assistants. If CBJ is successful and winning smaller schools look at assisstants for HC jobs which about every assistant would like to get.

He will have to be successful or he want be leaving for anywhere. If he wins a couple of SEC titles and leaves that would be great we'll be back and could replace him with someone great.

People that are negative minded all the time really do have a psychological issue.

It's been proven many times that optomistic/positive minded people are the most successful and happy people.

Negative minded people always look for things to be unhappy about or reasons to fail.

Positive minded people look at problems and work tirelessly to find solutions to problems and turn problems into positive assets.

Our Tennessee fanbase, especially here on VN, has far too many negative minded people BUT always remember that many here on VN simply are NOT Tennessee fans.

They are fans of other teams and are only here to bash and belittle our coaches and players as well as our recruiting efforts and to try their best to hurt our recruiting efforts.

These people actually FEAR Tennessee because they know our past record and traditions and they badly FEAR the day that Tennessee is again well known as a National footVol powerhouse.

CBJ and his coaching staff knows what SEC football is all about and they know what's expected here at Tennessee.

Once they have rebuilt our Vols back to SEC and National powerhouse status we won't see CBJ leave because he'll know there isn't a better place to coach and he'll always be motivated to keep making us better and to keep us in the top 10 nationally and THAT is enough of a challenge to keep any motivated HC working tirelessly to build his own legacy.

VFL...GBO!!!

Could be the dumbest question ever.
But to answer it, UT is desperate to be relevant again. They would give him the world to stay.

I have heard from a reliable source that CBJ is already in a serious dilemma. He is not able to pick between Buddy's or Calhoun's BBQ. I hope he does not leave for NC BBQ.

Lloyd Carr was born in Tennessee. Did he come here from Michigan? No. Butch Jones won't go from Tennessee to Michigan...
