When UT fans start buying in and handing over their hard earned pay checks they will let us in. They are just warming us up now. Starting to give us a taste here and there...look at what you could be....if you would only give us your moneyyyyyyy. Bunch O' PIGS.

8 conferences...8 conference title holders....8 team playoff. BOOM. Shorten the regular season to make up the extra games. They won't do it cause of the MONEY, MONEY, MONEY...folks.

If you believe the MAC, Mountain West, Conference USA, and Sunbelt champions deserve a chance to be in the playoffs more than say... The #2 team in the SEC, B12, or Pac 12 then you are completely out of your mind.

Sorry buddy but I don't think you could possibly be more wrong.

Good chance that Arkansas State will win the Sunbelt this year. They got convincingly beat by a team that probably won't finish in the top half of the SEC.

But you're right... They deserve a chance for at a national championship more than the second-place team in the SEC or PAC 12.

There was a reason we went to a playoff...it was supposed to be a fair and more unbiased approach...instead we got system that gave them MORE power. I just want a fair and unbiased playoff...it's a simple matter of...8 conferences...8 conference titles...8 team playoff. Simple...but it takes too much power and money out of the hands of the power hungry. Now we have a system that nobody understands... is bought and paid for...and completely alienates the fan. Unbelievable...it's like we kicked out Saddam Hussein and got...well, you know. how in the world are we going to get a fair system now?

Since we don't know where the cards are going to fall this year, let's use last year as an example. Under your system Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Rice, and Fresno State would have all gotten in the playoff over Alabama.

If you think that is what's "fair" then I'm wasting my time because I am talking to a complete lunatic.

I'm not saying what we have is perfect, but it's exponentially better than the madness that you're suggesting.

I can see how the OP might be confused. He didn't actually see UT play yesterday since he doesn't have ESPN. So he might think the game looked something like the '85 Bears vs the '07 Patriots. You could forgive his confusion.
