I guess...if Butch had been doubled up by South Carolina or whatever the equivalent of Memphis to Navy...until then Fuente screwed the pooch at a level Butch has never reached. :lol:

Not as easy as you make it. Remember when we played Air Force? We couldn't stop their offense and we had to outscore them. We got our a$$ handed to us by their players. Believe that was the game Inky got hurt and several other players too. Plus it was the game before UF and we took a beating physically.

Why the Memphis hate? Especially in football. They have a good team considering who they are,they have an NFL Caliber QB and a good up and coming coach. Plus they did something we haven't done in 11 or so games and that was beat a SEC West team.

Navy is 7-1 and their only loss was to NotreDame who they played toe to toe until they started turning it over in the 2nd half. I damn sure wouldn't want any part of Navy,especially this late in the season.

I don't mock Memphis fans in public. I get a lot of Memphis fans mocking me. I had one fan give me the bird a year ago, while driving through East Memphis with my orange power T flags.

Navy is very good this hopefully they can be in the top 25 at some point.

We're not going to want a piece of that same garbage scheme against GT in two years either...but we scheduled it. Notre Dame's played down to a couple of teams this year...Navy's one more. Lose to Navy? Uhh! Doubled up by Navy? Shut up Memphis! :)

It'd be if we scheduled and played GT this late in the season and we lost.

...and it somehow was decided it would also counted as a conference loss.

There's a difference with any team though between playing them at the beginning of the year - when you can focus just on them for quite some time - and playing them in the middle of the year between opponents.

Memphis is great at one thing. With 96 counties in TN; Shelby County provides between 20-25% of the prison population. That makes them undisputed champs of the crime world in the state.
