One of the laziest columns I have seen in a while. What an original controversial thought...pause...not.

I remember this idea being mentioned as early as the O'Neil hire. Was it mentioned when Wade was hired too?

Not arguing that.

But how old is this "outside the box" idea? At least 17 years old I know. She'll be due her obligatory "I'm not interested" comment by the end of the weekend.

I think you're right, the O'neil years is when I remember it being started. If she had wanted to try it she'd already done it by now.

Are the x's and o's betrween the two genders in the sport similiar? I know this may come across as a moronic question, but I really don't know much about the strategery (oh yeah, strategery) of each gender's play, if there is any at all.

I think they would be fundamentally sound under pay and likely play smarter ball, but the women benefit from a top 3 roster every year, she coaches great to awesome. With our men right now it would be getting so-so to good. I wouldn't see her as some miracle worker capable of building any longevity

She would probably be a good COACH, a doubt that she could get recruits to come play for her in mens bball though

I would be pissed if they were dumb enough to do this. It would MAJORLY screw both programs, and set them back 5 years minimum.

She is good enough to be sucessful as a men's coach - both recruiting and coaching.

I don't think she would want to do though. It would be step down from where she is. Why go from a top 2 program to a mediocre program?

Only gender biased sports writers think it would be a move up to coach men.

I think the root question is. Would top tier talent want to play for her? If the answer is yes. Then all things are possible.
